Aha, i getcha....
However Howe has had a fair few seasons to display his abilities & so far he's only shown himself a middling manger who plays good football...
They actually win stuff....
He could well take the mags down!

Well I've seen what happened to Bournemouth under his management, not sure your other chaps would have managed that .

He was mentioned early doors and the Geordies were kicking off! No way could they attract a champions league manager. Looks like they’re preparing for the championship. Harry Redknapp with Frank Lampard could have kept them up maybe.. a quick half a season smash and grab with some hardened mercenaries looking for one last big pay cheque.

It's money that will attract the players they need, not Howe.
On one hand, I quite like the fact an English manager has been given a chance with a top flight English club, but I can see him being hounded out of that job by the insufferable, entitled fans.

Howe will know he's the transitional manager unless he can get them playing a tune very quickly. If they don't look like they're playing better then he could get the sack at the end of the season.
If they do improve, but still go down then I'd expect him to get another season and, with their finances, to absolutely walk the Championship.

I think he’s a really poor fit for them and it will end in the inevitable Geordie pantomime of tears.
That being said, I’d have had him here managing us in a heartbeat.

Give it another 2 months and you'll see another protest or hate campaign. They are never satisfied.
No manager would touch that job with a barge pole if it wasn't for the new found wealth. They are very lucky they have been bought out. Without it they would almost definitely be down.
I don't see many 'worse' teams other than Norwich. Hopefully they are well adrift by Jan. I looked at the next 6-8 fixtures and I don't see one where you'd say 'that's 3 points'.
That said it's a great opportunity for Howe. If he can not only keep them up but 'transform' them then he's got a great job with the funds that will come next summer.
Jokes aside.... We really don't want them relegated (okay maybe we do). Boro don't really need the richest club in the country in the champo. They would run away with it.
