Fao rob or anyone what the boro policy re vapes

Because the majority of us don’t want to be breathing in that ***** and in an enclosed area like a football stadium you can’t really avoid it. It smells vile so why can’t anyone wanting to do it just go outside the ground?

It’s possible to stop that as well as the other behaviours mentioned, it’s not like we can only choose one thing to focus on

I honestly wonder how many people are bothered. Would it be a majority? And is a football stadium and closed area? There is no roof!

Anyway, I get what you are saying. I just don't think it's the problem that it is being made out to be. I have been in a stadium where it is allowed and it's not a bother to the majority there. Maybe because vaping is supporting the club.

less than 9% of the population vape, the vast majority will not want other peoples fumes in their face.

The issue with a stadium is that you have designated seats so if you are down wind you have it constantly

If people weren’t bothered then they can vape themselves? But I can’t see why any non smoker would want to inhale chemicals that will most likely cause cancers and all kinds of health problems further down the line just because someone is too ignorant to go outside

Yes it’s certainly not the worst thing you see inside a football stadium but for non smokers it’s still not ideal

Well the 18 year old should be given training to prepare them for dealing with and de-escalating aggressive behaviour, otherwise they can’t do their job. no one is asking for them to grab some pushed up idiot and frog March them out. That’s the police’s job. The warning and bans can come the next day by letter
Whilst I agree in principle mart, that ain't gonna happen.
Maybe the 18 year old needs to contact their supervisor to tackle the person in tandem.

I don't disagree. However the club will pay millions for a player, I dunno, let's say 15 million, for a striker who doesn't score. Let's call him bombingalo, for arguments sake, and spend buttons on staff training.

It's an interesting position for the club to take.
I done stewarding for a year when I was at Uni and can confirm the training consisted of two hour long presentations. No practical training whatsoever.

Turned up for the matches and they would run through a couple of points, what category game it was, any trouble from previous games etc and that was it, you were designated your spot in the stand.

I once thought I saw a bloke smoking a fag in the north stand upper, told my supervisor and he went up and had a look. Came back down and said he wasn’t… and that was that. Didn’t get told to report anything.

Feel sorry when I see stewards get caught up in bother now especially when it’s younger ones. That season really made me view going to matches in a different way, some fans really treat you like sh*t especially when we get beat.

give them warning the first time, then second time take the device off them, tell them it can be collected during the week from behind reception, if not collected within a week it will be disposed of. dont want to hand it over then have to leave.
This wouldn't work as many teens and young adults these days have gone from refillable vapes to using disposable high nicotine vapes like elf bars. They're like a fiver each

I vape and genuinely can’t get my head around people defending their use in the ground.
I don’t vape and genuinely can’t get my head around why anyone cares. We don’t all think the same and I resent those on here who presume we do. I’m happy to go along with the “it’s up to the club” line. I’m not happy to be told I have to give a monkeys.

It's also illegal, you can't confiscate someone's property because they ignore an arbitrary rule.

As I said earlier: It is just an open question put out there.
I neither drink nor smoke - but have to put up with other peoples farts.....
Farting is natural I know some people's stink but vaping is not. Would you put up with your 3 Yr old daughter inhaling vaping throughout the match for an entire season

If you read my posts earlier: I explained several times that my question about why vaping is banned - is an open question to anyone.
Its not a statement of my opinion.
You will also read that I dislike vaping - because the vapour is equivalent to sniffing someone`s mouth - which isnt a sterile area.
I also stated that the vapour [water droplets] is how germs and diseases is spread.
I also made the comment that cigarettes stink and I`m not in favour of them either.
Hope that clarifies the issue for you.(y)

The big difference as well is a cigarette would last 5/20 mins but these things last all game. As above it’s a lot more concentrated and prolonged exposure.

Nobody has said you have to give a monkeys, but as you’ve pointed out, it’s the clubs rule and as you’ve also pointed out some people are bothered. Your views doesn’t reduce the view of those who are bothered one iota
