Fry is better than leninhan

I note a lot of criticism of Fry launching the ball forward. I also noted during the Sunderland game that our movement in MF was often non existent and so many back passes left him with little option on many occasions as opponents pushed onto him.
Hate to see long balls out of the back, but look at the options. CH could always take the attacker on with some turns, megs and drag bags I suppose. That would be exciting for folk

I actually think he is good at stepping out from the back and carrying the ball, and playing simple short passes hes far more mobile than lenihan. The fact that he cant hit a 70 yard diagonal ball as well as lenihan is irrelevant to me, who cares i cant remember pallister hitting many of those either and he was classed as a polished defender. i agree the lack of movement in midfield is the crux of why any defender goes for the aimless punt up field.
