spot on. People think it's the easy bit to get team spirit, a bond, get the bad eggs out the door. But it's probably harder than getting players to creatively pass. Personally I feel he should go to europe. He would be out of the spotlight of the poisonous british media, and has the mentality to take on board another culture. If it's here, then maybe Man U will be a good fit, they've had a long period of under achievement. New board, new stadium, new manager could all come together and achieve something. they've got a lot of underachieving bad eggs that need sorting first thoughI think he is exactly what Man Utd need, i.e. somebody who can build a "team" out of egocentric millionaires. That is his greatest achievement with England, the ability to foster a team spirit and togetherness I've not seen with England in 30 years.
As for the perception of negativity, that will be quickly dispelled once his team is scoring lots of goals, just as his England team has always done.
It was also pushed on him too early and 15 years ago. He's grown massively since thenHis club management was errrrrr - patchy.
to a degree yes. But Kane was never going to be sold to an english team, Rice was a rediculous fee, Maddison, that's probably the one area they were stacked in the squad.Manure are a basket case. They've lost what they had under Fergie - a good solid base of British and Irish players, with a sprinkling of QUALITY foreign players. Now they just spend £50m standard on any average player, usually not good enough foreigners.
When Kane, Rice and Maddison were available in the Summer they should've been demanding to be front of the queue.
Radtcliffe will turn them round. I think they will have a couple of turbulent years ahead but within 2 or 3 seasons he'll have them back towards the top.Manure are a basket case. If I was Southgate, I would either pass on the job, or demand massive control of player recruitment, build from the back and drive out the massively overrated foreigners...... Sounds a bit right wing.

He’d be gone within 20 gamesIt seems likely, good luck to him, he deserves a chance at a champ league club
Like all football fans they'll be fine with winning football. He’d be gone within 20 games
Manure fans want front foot football
England are an attacking high goalscoring side, Man Utd would be the sameHe’d be gone within 20 games

Most of the man u fans will be supporting city soon. Love city supported them man and boy! yeah right.Like all football fans they'll be fine with winning football.
Whoever manages United will be judged on their results and honours.
And, like England under Southgate - win nothing in 7 years (possibly 8)England are an attacking high goalscoring side, Man Utd would be the same
difference is that Man Utd have had 28 opportunities to win a trophy, Southgate has had 3 and come a lot closer than Man Utd. You can't get closer to lifting a trophy than a penalty shoot out final 'defeat'And, like England under Southgate - win nothing in 7 years (possibly 8)
I think that's a bit harsh on Southgate to be fair. And, like England under Southgate - win nothing in 7 years (possibly 8)
Yeah, in hindsight - I agreeI think that's a bit harsh on Southgate to be fair.
Over achieved with what he had in 2018 WC getting to the semi-final
Beaten on penalties in 2020 Euro final
Beaten by tournament favorites in QF in 2022 World Cup. We were probably the better team that day just didn't get the result.
It's tournament football. Very very fine margins. He hasn't been going into these tournaments with the best squad but the expectation to win is always there for England.
I do think we are going into these Euros with a very strong squad and is a good opportunity to win it. Southgate has a lot of big tournament experience and I am confident he will deliver this summer.
sport on. 2018 we had Henderson, Alli and Lindgaard as our midfield. That's pretty poor, but was the best we had at the time. No wonder Modric, Rakatic and Brozovic had our pants down . They are just arguably levels above in quality.Over achieved with what he had in 2018 WC getting to the semi-final

I've got a ticket for the final, I'm really hoping we do it this time, please, please, please I'm going to sacrifice a shirt to the football gods before the tournament kicks off. would be unreal to see my team lift a trophy for the first time in 20 years. I might just have enough life left in for a Boro FA cup in my 70s at this rateI do think we are going into these Euros with a very strong squad and is a good opportunity to win it.
