Great news Roberts coming back

I'm actually surprised this hasn't happened earlier. He was never gonna get near the man city first team and for me he showed enough here last season to warrant another spell. After his injury he seemed to be trying a little bit too hard. If Warnock can tame him a little I think he can have a great season and really link up the midfield and attack in that number 10 roll. Fingers crossed we can get the deal done.

Maybe Roberts dwelling on the ball is because he’d barely had a kick all season before signing with us and then he got injured, takes awhile to get fitness and sharpness. Thought he instantly made us more dangerous going forward though. Personally I think he’s perfect playing behind the striker, running at defences and getting them to commit/drag out of position plus those tricky feet will win penalties. Hopefully with Akpom holding it up he should get more goals too coming in from deeper areas. Really pleased if this comes off. Think he will link everything up especially with Morsy behind him too. We will definitely be able to play through the middle but need to get Spence and Johnson bombing forward again.

Would like another CB and RB too.

If hall is out for a few games and he gets Roberts the best way to use him is down the middle in a 3 5 2 formation

I'd have thought Hall being out would make it less likely to play 352,not more.
 
Neil and his coaching / managerial team will get the best tune out of Roberts - hes been lacking consistency of management - all that moving and loaning out can be debilitating to a player.
Looking forward to the tricky winger pulling the shirt on again(y)
