Don't be shy
It's easy to mock, surely any reasonable person (especially a Teessider) wouldn't place their faith in such an idiot and go against their region's interest and values? After all, he was long deemed to be a calamity by pretty much everyone who knew or worked with him. Most Tory MPs even thought so. But nevertheless, it's always interesting to try and understand why people make such decisions and place their faith in such figures.
Anyway, it would be good to hear reasons why anyone would go for Johnson. One thing I've noticed is that is there are some who are still big fans. His craftiness and deceit seem to be high on the agenda as favourable qualities. But surely it's stretching it to suggest people were willing to put their admiration for Boris over their children and grandchildren as well as the future of their country and fellow citizens? But in reality, that's probably what happened in many cases.
