Huddersfield v Luton tonight.

We beat them comfortably enough last time we played them.

It's not going to be an easy match by any means, but if we get Jones back then I'd give us a solid chance.
Bournemouth aren't a hugely consistent team given how expensively assembled their squad is.
I actually think we were lucky to beat Bournemouth TBH. They probably should have been ahead at half time. Then we won with a peno. Edit: I agree that towards the end of the game they were pretty toothless.

I'm not saying that they aren't beatable, but saying we beat them comfortably last time wasn't really the game I thought I saw!

That's not my memory of the game, I thought we should have won by more.

It was an excellent performance from us.

Think it's a decent result. Almost 'better' than a draw.

It keeps Luton and sheff UTD bang in our sights and within 3 points. I wasn't overly impressed with either. You'd say 'workman like' at best.

Fair enough (y). Bournemouth missed three pretty massive chances in the first half. The sort we'd have been fuming about missing.

Second half we were the better team though, I agree.

Sheff Utd wiped the floor with us. Luton I agree are bang average.

I have no intentions of wining anybody up. I have supported the Boro for 50 years. We do not have the squad to get promoted this year. Loan strikers like Connely, Sprora Bagalon Payero have been a disaster. We need to regroup next year

Tbh I'm a positive person but unless we win on Friday we are done I reckon. Could be potentially 6/7 points behind going into Monday and even if we win that game in hand we have too much to do.

A draw would probably be fine, the maximum we could be behind the play-offs is 5 points with that, and we'd have a game in hand.
It will likely be less given Luton play Forest.

But lose to Huddersfield on Monday and I think it's over.

Huddersfield players celebrating like the job is already done
That's because It is....!!!!

They are 7 points ahead of us and have 5 games to play with 3 at home v QPR, Barnsley and Bristol City. They are on a great run, anyone gonna bet against them making the play offs ?????
Not me....
Thanks 👍

We can mathematically catch Huddersfield quite easilly with a game in hand and playing them. That could be potentially 6 points closer to them, far from over
Not quite that simple.

Huddersfield play QPR next, then Boro.
Sheff Utd play Reading and at Bristol City.
Blackburn play at Peterborough and Stoke.
Boro play at Bournemouth and Huddersfield.

There are also Luton and Forest in the mix. Even if Boro win the next two games, Huddersfield will still be above us. Getting into the top six by this time next week will need a series of results to go our way.

The big chance is with the game in hand, whenever that is. It's not impossible but it will take four wins, including against Huddersfield and two draws to finish in the playoffs. It's going to be close.
