He was involved with the first team training a few times last season apparently, I think with the 9 sub rule for this season he's got a good chance of being involved for Millwall.
Mowbray and Woodgate. Possibly out of necessity at times but they were not averse to involving the youth team players. When was the last time a manager trusted and gave academy players a chance? McClaren?
19, 20 in DecemberHow old is he?
I suspect that he might have been released on a free or sold for a pittance and no one would have really known who he was. I think most of us love Leo Perkovic for many reasons, but hats off to him for giving Hackney a real chance in those 3 or 4 games that he was in charge.
and Balogun and Forss..Shows what a pudding Wilder was if he couldn’t see a player in Hackney
I know he's not popular, and for good reason, but Wilder gave Hackney, Finch and Gibson first team squad places last season, and also handed them their first starts.
How many times did Woodgate and Warnock say our entire academy was not good enough.. nah didn't think so.Woodgate was the first manager to put Hackney on the bench, but only once.
Warnock gave Hackney his first team squad place, had him on the bench 8 times, and gave him his league debut vs. Wycombe (subbed him on for the final minute).
Warnock also gave him his cup debut, and first 90 minutes in the cup vs. Brentford.
Fun fact: Hackneys first 90 minutes vs. Brentford was also Alex Gilberts first 90 minutes (and debut).
I think Hackney only played once under Wilder - the 1-0 defeat to Barnsley in the cup. I don't think he was ever on the bench in the league either as he was out on loan.

Warnock complained about our recruitment.. which we upgraded whilst we were here.
Wilder tried make out the Marcus Forss was utter garbage and we should dole our £50k a week to Dwight Gayle!

I thought Cain Sykes looked lively and showed some good potential in the friendly at York.Warnock gave Josh Coburn his chance - played 250-300 minutes for him, scored 3 goals, inc. getting 90 mins (and scoring) in both of Warnock's final 2 games.
He also gave debuts to a few of the academy, including Connor Malley, Jack Robinson, Sam Folarin, William Kokolo, Rumarn Burrell and Jeremy Sivi (still here).
He was also the first manager to put Cain Sykes (still here) on the bench. He had Malik Dijksteel on the bench for a cup game once too.
Woodgate's list is even longer... Hayden Coulson and Nathan Wood are probably the most successful.
He also brought Djed Spence on, but it was Tony Pulis who brought him into the squad.
Wilder.... We can probably give him credit for giving Sonny Finch, Joe Gibson and Bryant Bilongo their debuts.
He also played Isaac Fletcher and Daniel Dodds in the cup, and had Calum Kavanagh and Kamil Conteh on the bench.

Wonder what happened to Pharell Willis (who got on the bench last year) and Joe Gibson (thought he looked okay in the reserves).
