Just Stop

It's always struck me how people say they would do anything for their kids, and how they would die for them, and yet when you get issues that will massively affect their kids, they won't lift a F***ing finger. Indeed any sort of minor inconvenience and there will be hell to pay.

I think what people really mean to say is "I would die for my kids as long as it doesn't cause me any inconvenience"

Exactly, I would do anything to protect the future of the human species on the planet....

Apart from make any changes whatsoever to how I live my life.

I wonder how many who have replied to this thread drive a car? Be careful on that high horse, you could just fall and hurt yourself.

So if you drive a car, and many have to in this ridiculously disorganised nation of ours, you're not allowed to agree with their aims and the right to protest?

Hate to be the one to point this out, but that wasn't being driven by one of the protesters.
Hate to be the one to point out that he probably wouldn’t have been driving like that if it wasn’t for said protesters.

so that makes it okay to drive like that does it.
No but I can understand why he may have driven like that. One day they are going to prevent an ambulance getting to the hospital or something similar and then what will they say ?

Why not blockade high profile people or the people who make the political decisions - such as the PM and his convoy of police that scoot around London like they own the place. But no, they block normal people, trying to earn a living, or going to a doctors appointment, or taking their kids to school - many of whom probably already agree with much of what they stand for but whom are not in a position to do anything substantial about it.

I think we seem to have an issue with protesting in this country. If we don’t like something we just grumble about it in the pub or between ourselves but the thing we don’t like happens anyway.

We seem to be too caught up in the individual, especially in recent years. Think Thatcher beat the fight out of us and the ones who do have any fight are seen as nothing but scum bags upsetting the status quo.

What an angry nation of people we are. Protesters block a road and immediately you get complete aggy losers going mental. Pushing people around, trying to run people over. You won't die just because you're 5/10/20/60 minutes late for wherever you're going. Chill out weirdos.
