Latte Lath done deal

You need to look at the league itself as 15 goals is being scoffed at but when you look and see the highest goal scorer only got 21 it looks a lot more impressive.

Nobody is arguing how impressive it is or isn’t. The question was about the quality of the league he played in.

If we want to talk about that, then yes he was one of the top goal scorers in a league that is bottom end champ, top end league one.

It’s a good return particularly when the top two scorers were in their leagues version of Man City with a squad value 3x the average in that league

Thz5m isn’t cheap for the Champo. Forss was 3m
Just got to trust in the punts and the stunts and cunthz. Seriously, our recruitment team will have researched him far more than anyone on here watching a few YouTube videos. Think our early signings are squad bulk with potential other than the GK. I would expect to see 3 to four more experienced players coming in before September. If that's not the case then feck em. Sack the lot. 😁

Problem we have is that we are not going to get an established striker from a "decent" European league for just over £4m.

We either gamble on a lower league striker or look abroad......and keep our fingers crossed 🤞🤞
I’m sure there are probably decent enough cheaper options or frees.

I didn’t “work it out”, I looked at Transfermarkt.com which tells you the market value of the entire league and each individual team. I simply looked at the best and worst and average values and compared it to the EFL.

I didn’t say “no better than Huddersfield” either. I said the average squad value was “about the same as Huddersfield”. Which according to Transfermarkt.com, it is.

If there is any belittling then it’s the people that complie the data in Transfermarkt.com.

Come back when you learn to comprehend properly

The issue I’m making is that English values are largely arbitrary anyway and grossly inflated compared to say other European leagues. So they have zero bearing on how or bad a league is.

No need for the insult either.

I think you’ll be waiting a long time if recent summer windows are anything to go by.

Unless we go for Josh Windass again 😂

Agreed the Swiss is slightly lower quality than the top of the championship, not a great deal, but enough that it’s a slight step up. It’s a good enough standard though, that it means he should be able to hit the ground running.

The flip side is that as a striker you need service and he likely had slightly lower quality players than we have trying to create chances for him.

So it’s not inconceivable that he could get more opportunities and score more.

Anyway we’ll find out soon enough. It’s exciting that we are getting a pacy young cf regardless

Possibly. But an established striker on a free will still be on mega wages and have a couple of dozen teams after them.......with Boro near the bottom.

We have to gamble. .....or cough up the ££££.

I’m talking about transfer values not co efficient.
The value is calculated by Transfermarkt which is a German company. Considering that quite a lot of players transfer to German clubs they’ll have good knowledge. It’s a ball park indicator rather than an exact science anyway, UEFA coefficient and Transfermarkt values put Swiss league as bottom half champ top end league one standard. I haven’t seen any evidence to place their current league standard higher.

All values are arbitrary to some degree, the point is they’re not bias, so are as good an indication as any other. We can also say your view that the Swiss league is better than that is also arbitrary as it is entirely opinion based.

No need for the insult either

No need to call my post “nonsense” without reading it properly and to completely misquote me

Why? I’m not gonna pretend I’m excited of course I’ll back him like we all do but don’t trust a thing this recruitment team or owner does
Why don’t you trust them? the recruitment team got us to the playoffs last season, I’d take that in a heartbeat this year
