Leicester crowd ?

So would RF be happy to move back to the other side of the south stand? We could accommodate the away fans in their old position and half the amount of segregation. Would RF be prepared to accept that to get more Boro fans in?

I don't think we can move the away fans to the North stand: I didn't think it's accessible for getting the away fans in and out, which increases the risk of trouble.

Would make sense if we get back to the prem, though I would miss them, being in the SW corner.
Probably not happen.

Loads of reason I can’t see this being a go-er. One of the big ones is the fact we only need more seats if we sell out, and we don’t sell out.

I've never been of the opinion that we should sell out routinely.

If we have sellouts 3-4 times a season, the ground is the right size, and nothing needs to change.

I think if we were in the PL at the moment, we'd have home sell outs more often than that.

I think now is the right time to be planning for how we handle this, rather than when we're turning customers away.

And lots of us North-Standers have had season tickets longer than most RF members have been alive. 😉

. In UK English, both “spelled” and “spelt” are acceptable.
My comment is more directed to the description "American English".
If its American English, it isnt English English ?
Or is it?
Now, if you were talking about Irish or Scottish or Northern Ireland "English".....that would be different.
Each of the UK countries has its own individual words and phrases.
So why not talk of Northern Irish English?
Scottish English?
etc
Or we could sub-divide "English" even further - to regions - because, after all, its not spoken the same, nor has exactly the same meaning across the country?
For instance:

Cobs:
Having a cob on.
A kick in the cobs
Cheese cobs

Pretty much every club in the county Doesn’t sell out whilst in the championship our average this season 28,000, if we went up without doubt we would fill it. 35,000 was the right size for us. 32k seems a few k off
We lost quite a few with that big screen didnt we. Do you think we could extend the South Stand upwards and further backwards - means doing a lot of work on the cantelever on the south end of the stadia - with concrete supports, etc and moving control box back and further up?
Might cost a bit too much at the moment. ?

The stadium was designed so the East Stand could be increased by 7k

The club would probably look at more hospitality areas as that is where the money is

If we wemt up im sure we could sell 40k regularly for the big games and teams with bigger away followings. Ive often wondered if we could lower the pitch level and add seating that way. I think then SOL lower tier has no concourse under them just built on a earth foundation . This method of course would eat away at the space around the perimeter of the pitch making it like old style stadiums.

Few good games and there’s talk of stadium expansion 😂

Wasn’t that long ago we had 4 figure crowds ffs!
We are the 16th best supported club across our history. In English football we have won one singular cup in our entire history. We quite clearly have the fanbase to do it. If we established ourselves in the premier league we could maintain. 35,000 crowds 40,000 would be a push but who’s to say it’s impossible. We have had some poor gates over the years but considering our lack of historical success our support for the most part is outstanding

We've also had full houses and a 10k waiting list for season tickets at one point according to Keith lamb in robbo/rav/ juninho era. Yes weve hit a few attendance doldrums at times bur that shows our potential if real good times return.

I think the stadium is the right size for us. If we go up this season we will sell out against the top teams, and have crowds of 30k or just under against the other clubs.

Things change quickly in football, and if things aren't going so well for us in a few years time the attendances could easily drop down to the 20k mark again.
