Luke Thomas will be playing in front of Engel. He's not coming here on loan as cover. Why? He's our only fit left back, if he was to get injured or suspended we'd be fked
See Tuesday for example

He's out of contract in Summer as well so if he does well and wants to stay then it might be fairly straight forward to sign him permanently.
They've just cut his loan short at Sheff Utd because he wasn't playing. He's not going to come here on loan to sit behind another LB.I doubt he walks in straight away for Engel.
Also interesting to note the announcement describes him as a left sided player, not a left back
I really hope he does start at left back against Sunderland. More the pity its not permanentI doubt he walks in straight away for Engel.

Let us know what your godson has to say about him mate, be good insightMy godson plays for Leicester U23s - I have asked him for a bit of detail about the lad
I agree it's a positive move given our current situation with injuries.I think its more to do with squad depth.
Fair play to the club, they want to give the second half of the season a good go.
I was going to mention that a loan for a player where we already have 2 players doesn't make massive sense but if he's out of contract and there'sa chance of getting him on a free in the summer then it's a win-win and he's almost definitely better than what we've got. If that's the case I'd expect one of Engel and Bangura to be moved on in the summer. I don't think either is particularly good but probably more chance of some interest for Bangura than Engel. He's out of contract in Summer as well so if he does well and wants to stay then it might be fairly straight forward to sign him permanently.
Very good signing in isolation, you just wonder if LB is where we need to strengthen. Can only think Bangura is out for a while.
I imagine he will 'walk' into our starting 11. A definate upgrade on what we have.
He'll walk straight into our first 11 (at LB) - big upgrade on what we have currently.
Gives us two options at LB, assuming Bangura is out long-term
I guess so, if it is the most severe grade of tear. I guess the season will be over in just over three months!Could be a torn hamstring. That’d be about 3-4 months wouldn’t it.
