Luke Thomas confirmed

I doubt he walks in straight away for Engel.

Also interesting to note the announcement describes him as a left sided player, not a left back

Don’t know anything about this lad but one thing that stood out against Chelsea was the lack of pace we have had at the back. I quite like Engel but if he is up against pace he really has struggled Sheff Wed a prime example

They've just cut his loan short at Sheff Utd because he wasn't playing. He's not going to come here on loan to sit behind another LB.
Given we have over a week before our next match, I do think he will come straight in.

He's out of contract in Summer as well so if he does well and wants to stay then it might be fairly straight forward to sign him permanently.
I was going to mention that a loan for a player where we already have 2 players doesn't make massive sense but if he's out of contract and there'sa chance of getting him on a free in the summer then it's a win-win and he's almost definitely better than what we've got. If that's the case I'd expect one of Engel and Bangura to be moved on in the summer. I don't think either is particularly good but probably more chance of some interest for Bangura than Engel.

Reckon Bangura is out for the season then? I know Thomas has played right back at times for Leicester, but with Ayling, RVDB and Dijksteel, that position is more than covered.

Think it's a good signing for the majority of Champ clubs.

That makes it one more loan spot available... a striker please.

He'll walk straight into our first 11 (at LB) - big upgrade on what we have currently.

Gives us two options at LB, assuming Bangura is out long-term.

Wonder what sort of injury Bangura has to finish his season. I thought it was a hamstring and a few weeks, but obviously something much worse.
