To be fair, most of them are fairly sensible in that thread, and I think it's undoubtable that they'd be in a better position without the injury to Stewart.
They've had a very decent first season as a newly promoted team.

But there are some absolutely deluded posters amongst them too.

Boro - Sunderland are well ahead of us because they beat us in January whilst forgetting we beat them a few months previously.

Sunderland - Best team to watch in the championship even though they haven’t scored many and we’re beaten 5-1 by stoke and are very poor at home.

Positions 4-6 - Sunderland are better than all the sides that occupy these positions.

Mogga - Just a stop gap until they find someone better.

Michael Carrick - would have crawled over broken glass to manage Sunderland and they could take him off us if they wanted.
