Nervous for Sunday

Not much work getting done today. Good job I'm working from home 😬

Well, "working" open to interpretation.......

Haven't been this nervous about a Boro game for a while. Shows how far we've come and how much our expectation levels have risen in such a short space of time.👍

Anyone feeling extremely nervous?

I keep telling myself I’m confident we will beat them over 2 legs but closer we get to Sunday my nerves are allover the place.

I’m a wreck today 😂😂.
Yes it's horrible. Can't settle at all. If we can replicate that Sheff Utd away performance over the next 3 games we're in the Premier League as no one will beat us if we play like that. Just hope the players are fired up. I'm sure they will be. I feel reassured having Carrick at the helm who has played in some of the biggest games in world football. If anyone is to say the right things to the players it's him.

Already a bag of nerves which is strange for someone who posted on here a few weeks ago saying I would happily take another year of Championship football. Funny what this game does to us. God knows what I'll be like come midday on Sunday. One thing I know is that my wife will be making sure she is as far away as possible from me and the young'uns

It's the team sheet I'm most nervous about.

I'm fully expecting there to be no Howson, and I've kind of come to terms with that. But I just hope one of Forss/Ramsey are fit enough for the bench, as well as good news about Fry.

The more the game gets closer, the more I think Coventry are actually the worst possible team for us to face out of the 6/7 teams that were competing for that 5th spot in the final 2/3 weeks.

A couple of days ago I was extremely confident of a win....now I think I'd take a draw, get back to our place, and hope to blow them away at the riverside.

Yep - I am absolutely bricking it.

I can’t remember the last time I was this nervous for a Boro match, not even the 2015 final or the 2016 promotion showdown with Brighton felt like this.

I think the nerves come from not knowing what the team will look like and also what the team will play like now there's something riding on it.

Will we have any injured players back in the squad and can we turn the intensity back on again after a few games chugging along in autopilot? Don't know just yet so I can't really say how confident I feel until I see the teamsheet and then the first 10/15 minutes or so.

I keep telling myself we'll be back on the boil again when it matters, but who knows. I'm still amazed we're favourites as I could honestly make a case for every team in there winning the thing.

Feel sick thinking about it. 😂

Biggest game in 5 years, huge for both clubs.

I just hope we get a comfortable away win and a cleansheet for the first time in months.
The wait for Wednesday will be even worse if it's on a knife's edge.

I am far more nervous about this than ever I was about the Brentford, Liverpool, Arsenal and any of the Uefa double headers for some reason. If we had a fully fit squad, I’d be confident, but we don’t and Coventry will be a tough nut to crack imho and they’re in good form. I just hope that the promoted team comes from our match whatever the outcome

I agree with this

They weren't the worst to face.

Sunderland are potentially the worst as they'd be clear favourites to win at the Stad de $hit due to Derby rules. Whatever they class it as.

I'd take a draw against any side we could have potentially faced in the first leg tbh, as I'm quietly confident of our ability to beat them at a full Riverside.

Perhaps strangely I am becoming more relaxed.
I was disappointed by the first half last monday and at Rotherham, and was genuinely worried that we wouldn't be able to step up again. I was also worried about the injuries.

But, a few days on, the injury situation appears more positive and we still have Akpom and Archer, the most potent forwards in this league.
It will be lively in Coventry, but the tie will still be alive at The Riverside kick off.
There will be fever pitch for that - think Brighton, Steaua, Liverpool semi, Brentford semi, Spurs cup and then ratchet it up even more.
Our lads have what it takes to win through and we have what it takes to be the best possible 12th man.

Glad I changed my non working day to a Friday. Otherwise would be shocking at work. Now looking at Coventry hotels to get the journey out of the way before Sunday morning. Otherwise wife and daughter will just get fed up of me and the son being stress heads and getting up at stupid-o-clock on Sunday morning.
