Nicola Bulley still missing

On a related note they just found a body in the River Ure at Ripon of a guy who had been missing since December and that is a much smaller river. Flowing water is capricious, I believe the river was running high when she went missing?
Absolutely, the fact she sadly hasn't been found yet most strongly suggests she has been washed down steam most likely into the sea.

Wouldn’t the weir have blocked the path of her body to the sea?

This is my point.. the independent diver has confirmed that the flow and water level were not strong enough to move her body over the weir. Her body would have sunk and drifted against the bottom of the weir

The news that police are now searching morecambe bay… the largest inter tidal mudflats in the UK is just showing how clueless they are.

I am of the opinion she has walked off and given up on her current life for whatever reason. The phone is a diversion. She has put it their to cast doubt on what happens and she disappears whilst everyone frantically searches the water.

Very unlikely given that her dog was running round the field unsecured, you try to stop your dog following you. The dog will most probably know from your scent which way you went if you walked off and follow you not run round the field in a panic.

What's she done for money for 2 weeks with her face plastered everywhere?

The thing with Morcambe bay is that once a body is caught in the tide going out, it can end up missing easily.

Im pretty sure the helicopter crash in 2006ish still have a missing body or two. They had survival suits on too which are bright yellow.

Also it’s reckoned there were plenty more chinese cockle-pickers who were killied by the tides around the same time.

Such a tragic situation. If she has fell in the water hopefully they find her soon. The fact there was an exit not covered by cctv and apparently a red van acting suspicious in the area at the time, that hasn't been traced as far as I've heard, means there will always be room for doubt until some hard evidence is found.

The timeline in which she’s gone missing is such a small window it’s hard to think someone has taken her. Maybe she has just had enough and left on her own. I’d be surprised though with two young kids etc. Also, to leave that area and not be spotted would take some doing unless she knew that there was one route which wasn’t covered by cctv which seems a bit far fetched. The dog was found agitated near the bench and the harness was on the floor. Someone picked that up and put it on the bench next to her phone and tied the dog up. She could have went back down the path and the dog hasn’t been able to follow her, although she would have been on cctv if she had went back that way?

Big logs manage to get past weirs.

You mean the independent diver who unashamedly advertised his services on Sky News, claiming that the police didn’t know how to search the river properly and that he’d find her within about 10 minutes?

Having conned the family into hiring his services (no doubt at massive cost), he now appears to be covering up his own failings (and protecting his business) by spouting a load of conspiracy theories. Of course, it couldn’t possibly be the case that the police were right and he was wrong.

I’m surprised they haven’t arrested him for obstructing an investigation.

he did it for free didn’t he? Makes sense for the police to use their services as they had the specialist equipment

He volunteered his services… he hasn’t taken any payment

He said all along he didn’t think she was was in there… he has proven it with the best technology to hand

Are you trying to slander the guy for helping?

I find it very strange when people decide to attack individuals and private companies trying to help in situations like this… they are experts, they usually know far more than the authorities and their help should be welcomed with open arms

The same thing happen in Thailand with that diver who got those kids out the cave. That poor bloke was even labelled a pedofile!

Yeah if it’s Lassie in the pictures maybe. This is real life. Mine would probably wander round gormlessly, or find some horse dung to eat, or chase after a few rabbits, or get itself run over. It would do b***r all to help me.
