One slight reason hydrogen may not be the answer to powering vehicles

Now yes, but there has been far more investment into EV's at this point. EV's in their current guise are also not the answer also, to expensive to make and require far to many rare minerals, their carbon footprints are no better than normal petrol cars.
That last sentence is a complete and utter lie. I'm amazed people Still persist with it.

In the near future yes. Not right now. Curious as to why your in uproar about brexit poverty but don't give a toss about the African kids mining minerals 12 hours a day with crap tools, no breaks and working in searing heat though. Could it be "I'm alright I've got my Tesla you plebs" have anything to do with it?
Actually no not in the future.

EV are better for the environment right now. Globally, including in countries where they use fossil fuels for 100% of their energy and EV is still better for the environment then an ICE car.

And don't come all fake concerned about mineral miners, given you said you would buy a hybrid.

I'm not surprised that you have been taken in by greenwashing, you seem susceptible but the simple fact of the matter is of people must have cars, EV are better for the environment over their life span than any other small vehicle

From that deal they've done, it looks like JCB think hydrogen could be important. (Although I agree that cars and buses blowing up is a bit of a worry)!

Don't get me wrong it is important. But for large vehicles like ships and planes. It's clear that for small vehicles EV is the best option.

Also we need to make green hydrogen which, we just don't. Or else we're not actually fixing the problem that has led to us needing EV in the first place

I have said this before but I'll say it again. In 15 years very few people will own cars. It is economically and environmentally wasteful. Once cars are fully autonomous we will just uber everywhere. There will be autonomous cabs everywhere. They will all be connected so you won't need drivers or dispatchers. Electricity will be close to free.

The only people with cars will be hobbyists in much the same way horses are now.

Not sure they will be hydrogen but that's a very real possibility.

Oh and hydrogen cars are no more likely to blow up than a petrol car or an electric one.

Can you back up that last comment?

I agree that personal transport and cars aren't actually the answer but whilst they are, they will be electric.

The first commercially available hydrogen motorbike is now generally available and has passed safety tests. The apex h2 of you want to read about it.

That it has passed safety tests in the US, not here yet, tells me it is safe, as far as blowing up is concerned.

Electricity comes from the green fairies remember? They also deliver the minerals required to make the batteries too. No slave labour on less than 10p a day down the mines.
They may look like fairies but in reality, they are what is known as children and are used as child slavery to mine the cobalt in the DRC.

Some of these children grow up to be adults but not all of them.

I'm not at all concerned. Where the minerals come from is out of my control and as I explained my next car will be a hybrid for a multitude of reasons and the environment isn't at the top of that list.

Won't you please think of the African children!!!

Very hypocritical though to get all preachy about how batteries are made, then buy a car with batteries. The environment should be a concern of yours. And everyone's

I'm not sure that comes anywhere near close to backing up you comment. But OK, yes, I'll concede that a single type of motorbike, that hasn't been put on sale yet, has yet to blow up

Gee thanks. Califonia has the highest number of hydrogen cars, anywhere in the world, 11,000 I believe and they have had them for 20 years. How many hydrogen cars have exploded in california, I hear you ask.. None.

So yes I can back up my comment and why don't you reign in the sarcasm, it might help your point about being argued with.
