It’s what inept execs and senior managers do.

They deflect from their own incompetencies as rigorously as they can. They show their communication failures by failing to have even basic emotional intelligence.

The best leaders are people that recognise their role is to empower and support, giving direction and helping to remove obstacles and owning risk.what Raab appears to do, and I’ve seen this behaviour in others, is lob a grenade over the wall to their staff, then run away, then scream at them a week later because they’ve had their legs blown off.

He is a boss, not a leader, and not a particularly successful boss at that
 
The Boris excuse-machine got his comeuppance and has rightly left. I will however bookmark this thread for when he is reappointed back into the cabinet in a few weeks or months time the next time there is a reshuffle.

I don’t think he’ll be back anytime soon as I said above if he did stay the onus turns to rishi and his weak leadership so now that he’s proven to be a bully ( asprolonged and humilliating was actually noted in the report) to then bring him back would be political suicide and confirm his weakness.

It sort of demonstrates the split in the Tories, the moderates and RWNJs.

Sunak is a sort of sticking plaster but I suspect that the sticking plaster is trying to stop a limb falling off, the only question is; is it the nut jobs or the moderates who will go...

It does make you wonder who they would turn to if sunak went ( as it surely would be another side job) as there are some seriously scary alternatives waiting in the shadows. Suella, hunt maybe even…. Gove shudders
