Well he’s apparently instructed lawyers this morning, I wonder if he’s getting worried.

Hmmm maybe he’s not going to fall on his sword after all.

I agree but that’s what he said publicly

Whatever he does, it's going to be front, centre, entertaining and embarrassing for the government - which is nice.

Expect some more classic lines - like "The sea was closed"
 
Apparently the investigation will not conclude with a verdict as to wether Raab broke rules or not. Instead it will provide the facts to Sunak and he will decide if rules have been broken and what any punishment may be.

You really couldn’t make this stuff up could you.
 
You only have to look at Raabs eyes and expressions in his interviews.
Utter contempt and dislike for whoever he's talking to.
He even mouthed "Fcuk off you wânker" to Nick Robinson during an interview .

Gives you the impression that he's a really nasty piece of work.

I suspect sunak would have to sack him off found guilty. I am not sure he has the neck to ignore the report and not take a hit in the polls.

That would seem the logical thing but then Sunak also gave 30p Lee a more senior role in the party.

That is true. It was a political manouver though. If he left raab in post starmer would eat him alive at pmq's and he knows it.
 
From no 10 today

The prime minister's official spokesperson has said that the report into allegations of bullying by the deputy PM Dominic Raab will be published in the form it is received by Rishi Sunak.

The independent lawyer Adam Tolley KC has completed the report and Sunak's now considering it.

Asked how much of it would be made public, Sunak's spokesman said "it will be in line with what we have seen before, so publishing what we have received".

I guess we’ll see
 
I think the danger for sunak is if he backs him then the focus is on his position comes into question.

If it was cut ad dried he'd be a gonner by now.

More likely they will find a bit of 'doubt' to hide behind.
He won't have to resign, won't be sacked and probably put him on some training.

Hope the barstweward goes tho

There's no such thing as 'cut and dried' with this government as the standards have slipped so far. In fact I'd say the opposite that the fact he hasn't had Sunak's immediate backing shows it's nowhere near exonerated but as you say, they're looking for the defensive line to take.
