What did anyone make of it last night?

I thought it was fantastic in short spells, but overall it never really clicked consistently. Having large breaks in play doesn’t really help. The south stand now splitting into two singing sections is also making it a bit more difficult.

Credit for anyone singing their hearts out for the lads and let’s hope we can make it a proper cauldron of noise the last few games.

RF spent about 20 minutes doing their Hackney song with nobody else joining in or able to sing anything different over the ****ing drum. I felt that sucked some of the life out of the South Stand.
That sucked the life out of the atmosphere in the south stand last night.

I'm fully behind RF but some of the songs they try to introduce are horrific and wont take off.

I'd like to see a new version of 'oh wilder said'. It was our song. No-one else sand anything like it and it is easy to adapt the words to change of players/management.

We desperately need a couple of decent new songs.

It's been strangely subdued all season in my opinion. Is that because we've just gotten used to winning at home, so people don't get that excited when it happens?

I felt we didn't sing enough traditional songs last night. The go to song after we score seems to be that "we're the Boro red army" song now. I'd prefer to hear everyone belting out "you are my Boro" or "finest team in football" in unison personally.

The atmosphere was much better under Wilder as he made demands of the fans which we responded to. The Wilder song had a massive impact on that. Every game I would hear kids singing it on the way back to the car park.

I think RF are superb and the rest of us need to try harder. Maybe the new songs should have a link on here with the lyrics. I sing Chuba's but don't know the words and liked stefans.

I thought the atmosphere was decent in spells but the second half was pretty subdued. There was very little niggle last night. I always think the fans come alive more when there’s some adversity in the game.

We were so comfortable last night that it ended up like a training game in the final half hour and i think that was reflected in the atmosphere towards the end.

We await your version of the "Oh Wilder said" song and the "couple of decent new songs"

Remember to put the lyrics up on here and the tune it`s to be sang to

Even if they are not particularly good someone might look at the tune and adapt the lyrics you have provided

Another surprisingly quiet atmosphere given the magnitude of the game and the result.

I'm not overly surprised by that for the final half hour, the game was done.

I do still think the lack of a really catchy chant this season has been a big part of the reason.

I thought the atmosphere was excellent.

These are must win games and a lot of people do actually watch the football and not just sing and clap all of the time.
