It was weird how it ended at Boro, with Whitehead preferred in po final. He started very impressively for us and looked very good for West Ham over previous couple of seasons.
 
Instead of Jones or as cover for Jones? I dare say he's be expecting quite a decent contract/signing on fee/wage?
 
I used to sit in the west lower before I moved and watching him close up he was one of the fastest off the mark that I’d seen in a long time. He knows the club and the area so I really hope we can bring him in. He’ll compete with Jones as we know. Long old season and loads of games to come.

I’m not for one minute trying to compare him by the way, I’m not that daft. Ha but he has a similar style to Ashley Cole. Looks a bit like him too and I can see similarities.
 
29 years old now. I'd be very happy with this signing.

We're light at wingback and he's a good player. Ticks all the boxes for what we need and what he offers.
 
Always looked decent for us than basically 'disappeared'. I mean he got bombed out for Dean Whitehead at RB🙄

Be a very good solid signing - but where would he play? Jones backup? Can't see a 29 Yr old PL defender being thrilled with that role. Can he play on the left?

We need to build a squad with competition all over the pitch to have a sniff at automatic. He’s not really a prem player. Hasn’t played much for West Am and has played most of his football in the championship. Fulham as well. Was a 100m district champion as a kid and offered an athletics scholarship. I’m not surprised as I say. Rapid.

Fair enough. I'd be happy if we signed him, but imagine he'd be on a few quid for essentially a squad player. Unless he can play multiple positions ie LWB..
Certainly like the players we are beiy linked with - good mix 👍👍

Defo buddy. Exciting season ahead, can’t wait. So many good players available on a free this summer. It’s mad. Apparently the Reading press are saying Lumley will be done this week as well. Wilder not messing about.

Think he can play on the left but wouldnt be shocked if he was direct competition for Jones, he didnt exactly have the best end to the season. It wouldnt be a surprise if his place is under threat
 
Can’t see why Fulham would be in for him. The last season they had in the prem they leaked stupid amounts of goals. They need experienced prem players if they can get them.
