Season card renewal

I am not defending the club and I agree people can be sent on loops by the website and taht there are some genuine security problems.

However some records may contain old data like old card details which is causing a problem when yiou use a different card or get a new updated replacement card. This is the users responsibility. Try and use the same device (IP address) as you have in the past and same internet connection. Make sure the right mobile/landline is logged for you (with your card provider), so when a verification code is texted/emailed you can see it and use it quickly. All this is in place to stop someone finding/stealing a card or password and using it online to buy stuff (no pin number needed online).
 
Did you have to manually enter your registered debit card details when trying to pay for the season ticket?
No mate, however, I have used my debit card twice this afternoon and it’s been fine. I’ll have another go tonight using my iPad just in case it was my laptop it didn’t like. It’s very frustrating, Christ knows what will happen if we make the playoffs, the system will go into meltdown!!

As I mentioned my account had a card attached, though not by me. When I eventually examined the details in the 'Credit Card Name' section there were the last 4 digits of my card number which were correct. However in the 'Card Number' section the last 4 digits were for my previous card that had expired. I re-added my card and it all went through OK at the next attempt. Like you I'd previously had no issues using the card for the purchase of cup tickets.

It is totally baffling and unnecessary that fans have to go through this rigmarole.
It’s time for the club to use a more robust ticket based system, that is actually maintained by the provider, and moves with the changes the Banks bring in; at the time they bring them in. Not months further down the line, resulting in chaos for the client. Grrr rant over, back in my box!

Banks are stopping a percentage of all transactions for checks. This is random but the percentage is increasing week on week.
The football club have told me that the outside ticketing site are still working on compliance. I will contact them later on to see if there is any update.
I was told last week that they were pushing for everything to be completed for this week - and then it would all be tested.

Yes we had an issue with our online supermarket shopping. It's down to whichever 3rd party payment system the retailer is using

Just tested my card renewing season card and then buying a ticket - I had no problems. I recently had to change my credit card over the phone with the ticket office which they added manually.
 
I've had an MFC account since they started and never been able to buy tickets online....no one seems to know why .So,I have to go down the route of " your call is important to us, you are number 80 in the queue"
I had same issue, after a trip to the ticket office, a young fella dug deeper and said I had several email addresses registered, which was skewing the system I informed him I had only ever had one email add, when he looked closer, the same email add was registered several times, dunno why. He deleted all but one from their system and have never had an issue since.

The emails could date back to the start of the Riverside. Now you have just one email contact with Boro and one password. That should help simplify things.
Once they have fixed this bank card issue - I believe there is likely to be an announcement by the end of week.

The young lad was really helpful, took time to do it and sorted. I used to tear my hair out trying to buy tickets online, gave up and had many trips to the stadium for tickets....play off final was the most maddening, a season ticket holder and unable to buy a ticket...managed to get one via phone just before it sold out.

Nope, not a single one, anywhere I work in the world. I use Monzo everywhere I go and for all online transactions. It occasionally asks me to approve a payment on the App, but I have never been refused a payment on security grounds other than the MFC site (since Jan/Feb).
