Mathematically it’s not but today just showed the yawning deficiencies in the top end of the field.

I think the appalling start did for us & our home form has been terrible - squad lacks pace & game play is too slow & too focused on possession rather than attacking urgency (not lump it forward) but a more mixed game plan, not always played out from the back..
I can't see us overtaking so many teams to make up 6 points in the remaining games & then beat the teams in 3rd & 4th..

Realistically the outcome of the transfer window was giving up on having a serious go this season, the performances and results are just catching up.
We've had a torrid time with injuries etc but overall just haven't been up to it at points throughout the season really.

Manager not supported in either transfer window. We are a club with zero ambition. We only hear from the club at season ticket renewal time.

Not many clean sheets on Teesside tonight......
Tbh I've been looking at next season for a good few weeks now - the January transfer window just reinforced that.
Looking for the likes of Azaz to show us what we can expect next season, and for the fringe players to really show they are worth keeping.
And the loan players to give us a good reason to sign them permanently.

Yep. Too much to do and not good enough to do it.

First half performance showed that the players and staff had pretty much thrown the towel in. Then to not sign a striker and let Rogers and Crooks go shows the club had too.
How Barlaser played 90 minutes today I’ll never know. Hackney is just not doing it either. Carrick had to change it at half time, but once again the subs were too little too late.
We have far too many average players, and no one with any pace or skill.
Rav van den Berg was the only player to show any passion, anger or frustration at half time. The rest are just going through the motions.

We need the likes of Jones and Latte back and drop Azaz for McGree. Let’s face it we’ve been mid table all season — I don’t think it’s going to change until we address the striker problem, not to mention the midfield issues.

Our goals against are just as big a problem. We're the ninth top scorers in the league and have conceded the tenth most goals.
6th placed Sunderland have scored the same number of goals as us.
5th placed WBA have scored one less.
We would be fine if we didn't have to score every week just to get a draw.
