Sunderland Season Ticket Sales

Fair play to them. And the thousands of freebies given to local schools rather than having empty seats.

Can't be ars*d to start the conversation again, but we're not very forward thinking when it comes to kids/U-18 prices etc. Getting the next generation hooked doesn't seem to be high on the list of priorities.🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

We should be charging kids next to nothing in my opinion. They still need an adult to take them and spend money on food/drink etc. The main reason being though is that we are blooding the next generation of fans. Some will turn in to regular full paying adult season ticket holders.

Edit : Posted at the same time as above - great minds and all that

U16 at £49 and U18 at £98

Says it all.

I thought the free ticket thing was a joke or an urban myth but I was sat near a colleague once and her phone went off it was the school asking if she wanted free tickets for that Saturday.

I think the whole pricing at the Boro is wrong, especially the discrepancy in the walk up prices.

In fairness, they can get away with having their tickets cheaper because they have a much bigger fanbase than we do.

If we had the same pricing I reckon we'd only gain a few extra thousand season ticket holders, and long-term, it would surely lead to a loss in revenue if everyone is paying less for their season tickets.

The club probably have it more or less right when it comes to ticket pricing - my only gripe is that I think they should be making it more affordable for the kids.

I disagree with all of that.

Definitely not an urban myth. Happened for years

Are our prices out for new buyers yet?

Not yet.

Probably be £600 or something at the cheapest.

It was £544 at the cheapest for an adult early bird new buyer, and they're obviously going to mark it up to keep the incentive for the early bird purchases.
