Probably a bit of a Christmas/Bank Holiday impact, but the cases by specimen date data show that, of those who were tested on 29th December, 79,818 have so far returned positive results.
 
I think we might be in ofr another very big number tomorrow Bear, or perhaps the day after. A couple of weeks ago Mondays were around 200 or less.

Vaccination or no, the end seems very far away at the moment.

Don't be naughty ST, I mean just look at @GazC_MFC above you talking about LA. I guess there's your perfect example that lockdowns clearly do work.

I'm just sad at this point and don't want to create further division.

If it pleases you I will say I fully support this lockdown.
