The great Johnson whitewash

Seems he has been found NOT to have broken the ministerial code in regards to the refurbishment of his flat. It was found that a donor DID pay for some of the renovations but that Johnson was unaware of this, hence why no code was broken.

What utter crap that is, how can he not have known a donor had paid some of the costs? Surely he would then have been asking for the invoice and wanting to get it settled? Another nail in the coffin of democracy.

I thought this was going to be an expose of the real reason Neymarv wasn't given a new contract.

The whitewash continues - its now been revealed the Matt Hancock committed a 'minor breach' of the ministerial code when a company he owns 20% of was awarded a Govt contract. However, they've let him off because he didn't know the details and it wasn't intentional.

Absolute travesty.

What the **** is a ‘minor‘ breach?!

It was either a breach of the ministerial code, or it wasn’t. Its that simple. Trying to downplay it with a ‘minor’ is as insulting as it is transparent.
They really do treat the Great British public with utter disdain and continue to laugh at us ALL.

Find that somewhat unsurprising when the person, Christopher Edward Wollaston MacKenzie Geidt, Baron Geidt, GCB, GCVO, OBE, QSO, PC, FKC who cleared him, was actually appointed to the job by Johnson himself. Allegedly.

Time for a revolution? The only people who suffer when a group of people run a country with theft and coruption is there man in the street. I.e. us.

So many things Johnson and Co are apperently oblivious too, you'd almost think they never had the most important jobs in the land.

Meanwhile in the US Republicans in Senate vote to block bill that would create January 6th commission.

At least in this country we pretend to investigate things.

I am not a Johnson supporter, but as I read it that in the spring when the renovation was done or be paid for, coincided with him in hospital with covid. If that really was the case, then I can understand him not asking who had paid for it.

Agree with Boro in Devon on this one. Maybe have to look at somebody else, now who was co ordinating the re decoration and would know the ins and outs of Tory Central Office?
I reckon Johnson has his hands full there
