* The Unofficial Tees - Wear "derby". Boro v Mackems match-day thread *

How many times this season have we said we played well and didn’t get what we deserve .. hopefully our luck is about to change!
We saw that out well considering how knackered we were, should have probably changed formation earlier.

We should have put it long to bed before 70 mins mind, kept their strikers from having any big chances which was key. For a change some long/ low probability pot shots never went in.

Didn't enjoy that half but I do wonder if a lot of it is confidence, probably need to get a couple wins on the bounce to give us more belief. Saying that they never really threatened, can't think of a chance they had apart from the Pritchard one early on, people saying they will finish top 6 are bonkers, they are crap.

Also didn't want to say it during the game because I know what would have happened if I did but Jack Clarke put in the worst performance against us that I've seen in a long time.

Really why? They played quite well I thought, hard for them to create with us sitting deeper and not pressing or committing players forward.
He could walk on water after their win against Rotherham, tonight he's a pariah. Like I said, they're fickle fcukers.

F&******** get innnnn there......big 3 points.....let's march through September and hit a winning streak ...Great team morale....and....you can tell how big that was for chrissy and rhe boys ......get innnnnnnnnn buzzing

He tool off their 2 players that started to create something, after that they just played hoof ball.

thank fck for that been hiding behind the settee since McGree scored nervous as, it gets worse as I get older, having a relaxing beer now and catching up on what happened :)

We grew tired though, and as you said, we had no fresh legs for the midfield.
It put us under pressure but still only 1 shot on target in 90 minutes. We fouled when we needed to, we cleared the lines when needed and still created the better chances. If we hadn't had the start we have had we would have been confident of seeing it out.

We couldn't play out of defence too often because we fell deep because we had no energy in midfield.

The in play betting had us favourite for the next goal through the entire second half.
