Today is still the phoney war

The reality is we can’t win the play offs today but we could lose them if we lose key personnel.

Is my point.
So don't play any of the first eleven? Or have you got five or six players in mind we shouldn't play at all in case one gets injured?

I would play them but not all together as we did at Luton.

Use the players but not the tactics.

Anyway carrick knows what he’s doing.

I was thinking the same over the weekend. Bradford had a really good team with Hendrie and McCall amongst others. We prevailed, thanks to Slaven and Hamilton. My favourite game at AP.

Back to today, no injuries and definitely, date I say red cards. UTB.
Excellent Bradford side, probably better than the one that was in the premmleague. Ian f…n Ormondroyd the original Peter Crouch.

See my comment about Bradford in 87-88
I was at the home game in the regular league match and they just got lucky to make it 2-0 or 2-1 whatever it was, It felt in all those matches we lost to them that on another day we would have won with a bit more luck and so it turned out that way.

It’s more likely to end in failure due to injuries than ‘momentum’ to be honest.
This is maybe the difficulty I am having, I agree with this, but at the same time to come up against a team who are it while we are not in my mind makes it more likely the other team could edge us in the playoff, they certainly could get a two goal cushion at their ground.

Glad we're going for it, if we win then we will have confidence against them next week, if we even play them at all. Much rather play Millwall than to play a Coventry side away who have done the double over us.

Bradford away in the league in 1987/8 - we were second best.

Paul Jewell I think scored for them.

They were certainly as good as us that season, but we edged them in the play offs.

yes they were definitely lucky in the home game. I think there was a shot that hit ormerod and deflected or maybe he headed it onto one of our defenders and it ricocheted. Long time ago, but I remember him getting lucky and we largely battered them but couldn't finish.

Yes, we were well beaten that day.

I think last I looked they're third in form table we were eleventh. We don't need a demoralising spanking.

Decent line up, up to the lads to deliver and us to roar them on.

UTB

We played poorly and have absolutely no rhythm.
For the first time in months I lack confidence.
If Howson, Ramsey and Forss can be passed fit enough to play then we desperately need them back in.
As I posted higher up the thread, rhythm can’t be turned on like a tap, especially when so many are/have been injured.
