Anybody know what has happened with Victor Orta? He's trending on XTwitter, with Leeds fans furious, saying we warned them, etc. No details are out though.

I think its all down to all the players leaving Elland road, some which have ridiculously low release clauses. A few Leeds fans throwing around accusations at him, they're accusing him of financially benefiting from some of the deals.

Players turned out to be not very good, or only really there for the pay day. And they paid a lot of money for them.

Relegation, fingers pointed at Orta, he leaves, players leave for a fraction of what was paid for them.

Leeds screwed.

Apparently a lot of the big-money signings made over the past 12-18 months had clauses that allowed them to leave on loan without Leeds receiving a loan fee.

I think he’s just been made Sevilla’s Sporting Director, replacing Monchi.

Victor has gone to Sevilla to replace the legendary Monchi as Sporting Director there. Monchi built the Sevilla teams of the 2000s and has now gone to Villa with Unai Emery.

I think they will struggle this season, you only need to look at how young their first team squad is.

They were discussing the Harrison situation on the radio yesterday. A transfer to Leicester was all but done in January and was cancelled by Leeds at the last minute. He wasn't very happy so they offered him a new contract with a pay rise and a clause allowing him to leave for nothing on loan if they were relegated. That's now been activated so Leeds fans aren't happy. Apparently Orta was the man behind the whole situation and other players may have similar clauses in their contracts and it's one of the reasons he's not there any more.

Makes you wonder if parachute payments are actually necessary and in fact the championship should just have better solidarity payments. Leeds problems are through their own mismanagement
