The contradictions are hard to understand. If Alex Scott was only worth X amount because he'd played loads more games, or Bowen because he'd scored more goals, the think about it a little bit.
He's just started playing, what? 15 games or something? So why take 15 million.
He's clearly going to be very useful at this level minimum. So let him play six months/ a years worth of games, score more goals and demand 25-30 million when he's not he'd another ten goals, or performed well fo another thirty games.
It doesn't make sense to say sell him now for 15 million. We can't demand more because he hasn't proven it for long enough.
Let him prove it then and get true value in today's ridiculously inflated game. Clearly our fans have no nerve or belief in the players ability.
He has the ability and he will improve. Even if he continues as he is, then those clubs will still be interested as he will have proved it for longer.
Barring some career threatening injury which is a risk with any player, there is zero downside to keeping him unless the offer is something extremely inflated like 25m.
15m plus add ons In a rapidly inflating market is absolutely nothing. Especially when we lose creativity and goals. Those pointing to the league aren't being particularly fair on that one, he's scored in the cup plenty and those where were most of his appearances initially came.
He will score in the championship.
Hope the club stand firm to what they believe his value is.
