Never ever want Boro to loseShame on all those calling for Boro to get beat.
You're not Boro fans simple as that
Someone said it wouldn't be rational for us to sack him today or tomorrow, but it would be entirely rational if the people taking that decision have a proper plan in place and a target lined up to replace him. Like when Southampton sacked Nigel Adkins and everyone went mad over it(including me on here, as it happens) but then Pochettino turned out to be a brilliant appointment. It's only not rational if you do what we did in the Premier League and sack your manager without being sure of what's going to happen next.
If he does get sacked today then it isn't because we lost at West Brom(if we do lose, this Boro team winning there today wouldn't surprise me at all), it's because we are a team in the bottom half of the second tier treading water. We've been in poor shape all year. I also think what happened in January counts against him but that's just a personal hunch. I think things are happening on the field that aren't being corrected on the training field. He keeps saying you can't legislate for things but I think you can legislate for some of them. We make a LOT of individual errors and have no real cohesion to our play. I always say a team plays in the image of it's manager and this Boro team look like exactly that; a bit confused, unsure, unsettled, caught between ideas and not really working towards anything in particular. Is the manager and his staff getting the best out of this group of players? That's the bottom line and I don't think that's happening TBH.
The bigger picture…..With that attitude it’s a shame you call yourself a Boro supporter. Irrespective of whether you support the manager or otherwise, wishing a defeat, a big one at that! Is not what I would expect from true supporters. Are you at the game today? I am and the last thing I would wish for is a bad defeat just for the sake of getting the manager sacked. Won’t do the players any good getting thumped and the journey home won’t be brilliant, both of which I’m used to by the way.
Trouble is, the bigger picture isn’t always black and white, off to my seat now UTBThe bigger picture…..
EIO EIO EIO EIOThe bigger picture…..
Did that look a final wave goodbye from Warnock there, his whole team going over?Good point
Will it be enough to save his job?
Dratt & double dratt you pipped me to itDid that look a final wave goodbye from Warnock there, his whole team going over?
Would anyone really be surprised if Wilder wasn't already lined as per the supposed ITK rumour someone said was on talksport the other day?
Wouldn't be the first time Gibson has spoken to the replacement ahead of the incumbent being sacked.
Pulis win the exact same amount of points as Monk. He failed us in the playoffs imo.Monk used to moan about individual errors. Pulis came in and they dramatically reduced almost immediately. So he was either just much much luckier than Monk or he was able to affect the issue on the training pitch and/or with a change in team instructions/tactics. I know which explanation I believe.
I was gutted when I got told.. the penny didn’t drop when he come over with the players waving and that. I honestly thought they were being really appreciative of the fans, saw him being cheered and applauded off the bus on the way in, cheered and chanted during the match and Neil Warnock’s Red Red Army all the way out of the stadium and up the road. Couldn’t believe it when someone ran up with a phone to show me (they looked gutted tbf) and then the announcement of Chris Wilder in the car on the way home.. propped depressing. I didn’t like it one bit, didn’t like the stuff on oneboro before the season started, couldn’t stand the crap that was being churned out on Twitter from the boro breakdown crew.. worst of all was from the club. Proper small time and totally lacked class all around.Judging by Newy's comments he's going to have a breakdown when Warnock leaves!
Of course, the cheerleader stays…..Blackwell and Jepson gone too
But not Leo
