What’s your opinion on the fouls

The Chiellini one is annoying, there’s 0 intent to play the ball. It’s never going to be a red card, and I know it would never happen but a sin bin for that sort of thing could be interesting.
What was frustrating with that, is what was probably the only time chiellini was isolated on the wing and his vulnerabilities were highlighted.

The Jorginho one in the past I wouldn’t have thought red, but with the rules as they are and the tackle it was I think it should have been. Regardless of intent to hurt it was reckless and dangerous.

I thought the foul on Grealish was a red. It endangered an opponent and was a poorly disguised stamp on his leg to boot.

I thought the Chiellini one was way more than yellow worthy, it wasn’t just an every day pull of a shirt/so called professional foul. I thought it reckless, it was done with such physical intent and aggression. I thought the ref was letting more go than he should have.

Talking to my daughter today about the shirt haul. I don't think the ref could have done much more, but if I was reffing that game I would have yellow carded him as soon as I could for his next offence, however innocuous.

With offences like shirt pulling as blatant as that and other offences that are deliberate to break up play and the so called take one for the team tackles.

I think they should be straight reds, chiellini made no attempt to play the ball only intent on bringing his man down. That should not be allowed in the game.
On that basis Clayton would have missed most Boro matches through suspension

The Chellini moment was awful-- imagine the young kids watching that moment of assault on Saka. Of course it was red, but the ref bottled it but we've seen it before.

Definitely "accidental" but also endangering an opponent. He launches himself as the ball gets away from him, both feet off the ground with his studs showing towards Grealish. Not a definite red but would not have been overturned if given.
Jorginho didn't have both feet off the ground. His right foot was raised because it bounced off the ball and caught Grealish. It was unintentional.

Kalvin Phillips stamped on Toni Croos in the win over Germany.

I didn't think that was a red card either. It's a physical sport and you have to accept injuries are a risk if you play.

intentional is not a factor in deciding if it was a red card. Did it endanger an opponent and out of control = YES = Red. Both feet were off the ground from Jorghino

I thought Chiellini's deliberate and cynical challenge was reckless and dangerous, as any assault round the neck is, and for that reason he should have gone.

I did a double take, it was much worse than the usual pullbacks you see. I still think it would have been difficult to issue a red. I suppose the ref could have argued it was overly aggressive, maybe. It was 2 handed for a start.
