Who wants Man City to win the CL Saturday?

To be brutally honest, I'm not ars*d about the game and who wins. Doesn't affect Boro, so end of the day pretty irrelevant.

Reading a lot of fans of other teams absolutely fawning over City, what an amazing team, brilliant club......

But being state owned, assembling a squad for a billion quid and threatening to dominate English football to a level which will exceed Man U / Arsenal / Chelsea's great periods.......that's not a good thing.

And the potential 115 charges they face......

Acceptable face of the Premier League and their brand......but is it good for football?

🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

While I respect the footballing side of City, I find their football at times a hard watch - verging on slightly boring. Just a very, very well oiled machine. Credit to Pep and what he has created, but excitement......hmmmm.

I enjoy City's football. It's exciting attacking play. For purely football reasons I hope they win. Everything else is murky, tainted and bought.

I definitely want City to win.
I don't have any problem with middle eastern involvement in Football, I think England has had a far worse influence on the World than Saudi Arabia has in the last 25 or 30 years. We want to look at ourselves before we start looking down our noses at other countries and cultures and telling them how much better we are than them.

I don't see how city's finances are any different to the other teams that have won in the past. Utd and Liverpool haven't dominated without spending more money than anyone else. I don't care about the FFP rules. They are a protectionist con to keep big clubs big. It's nothing to do with fair play or competition. They've all got disgustingly rich billionaire owners. They are all backed by states or companies as big as states. Inter aren't exactly a plucky underdog. They are owned by a Chinese company with annual revenues of £100bn. They are another mega rich club.

I prefer city to the other clubs because the majority of their fans are still Man City fans for the reason they always have been. The stadium isn't full of glory fan tourists. They play good football and they probably should win. They've been the best team in Europe for a few years now.

I do want City to win.

Lots of English players in the squad, it dilutes Man United's prestige and if you're looking for an anti-Man City positive, it makes it more likely that Pep Guardiola thinks that he's done all he can in England and moves on, opening up the league again.

A negative of that would be that it increases the likelihood of Newcastle winning something.
