Who wants Man City to win the CL Saturday?

It's about time Manchester City won the Champions League. After all they have been proper qualifiers as they actually won the Premier League unlike some previous winners! They have always been under the shadow of the other club, even going back to the Bell, Book, Lee, Summerbee League winning days of 1968. OK they are backed well but have used the money wisely to build an entertaining team over many years, unlike Chelsea for instance. They have proper fans from the City. They are due a win. 👍

FFP in the championship is an even bigger joke because you can cheat as much as you want as long as you do it successfully and get promoted. Yes, I agree that Derby cheated but I don't think the rules are fair and those stupid rules created the necessity to cheat.

It is a bit different in the championship though because there is a need to prevent teams going bust and the numbers are much smaller so cheating is more beneficial. The billions at the top of the PL are ridiculous but it's clubs all spending billions. They are the same. They are all clubs with squads full of £100m players on £300k per week competing against each other.

In summary, FFP is a load of b***ks.

But you at least did seem to believe in FFP as you wanted Derby to be punished for their FFP cheating. On this very forum you wrote several posts complaining about it, and even bemoaned the fact they weren’t punished sooner and more severely.

When it comes to Man City, your view is the opposite 🤷‍♂️
 
For my Manchester City mates yeah. I get to see them a couple of times a season when a season ticket is not being used. When they are on song they are a great watch.

I can see why it seems there is some hypocrisy but it's situational. Part of it is that the more frequently the super clubs don't win the better and I still see Man City as one of us. Kind of like seeing a working class person doing well at the expense of the aristocracy.

Ultimately I would like to see a level playing field but until then I am far happier seeing the less traditional clubs beating the old guard, wherever their money comes from. Ideally they'll realise there are too many of the traditional big clubs unable to make the champions league and they are forced to move to some sort of spending cap.
 
I remember when I used to think the coldstream guards were ott for a foot match..

Sure the players & fans will really appreciate the lung fulls of firework smoke & the freaking piano.. 😂👍
