MP's who won their seats in 2019 will be getting very twitchy. I wonder if the rules might be changed for a vote of no confidence.
That was such an easy question for Truss to answer though. If that round of interviews this morning hasn’t caused further loss of support I would be shocked……great from Radio Leeds ‘PM where’ve you been?’
This is where Starmer is so superior to Corbyn (in this situation), forget the "Tory with a Red Rosette" nonsense he has been so careful to give the press absolutely no ammunition. Jezza for all his great policies and his honesty and endeavour to be a force for good was such an easy target. They tried so hard tp nail Starmer with "Beergate" and managed a spectacular own goal by showing the venal mess that Johnson was in refusing to countenance resigning if he was found to have broken the law. So Starmer is a VERY hard target to hit. Truss is absolutely woeful and not even a choice among MPs but hoisted upon the Parliamentary Party by the Blue Rinse xenophobes. If she survives to the end of October it'll be because they don't want to appear "weak" yet manifestly demonstrating it.The next few days will be interesting to see how the press responds to these statistics, they will either go all out attack on Truss or Labour, if it's the former then she's toast, if it's the latter then expect the very worst of 'journalism'.
Why won't we get a vote of no confidence? Not been condescending, genuinely don't know why.we a vote of no confidence in the government is what’s needed but we’ll never get that
The government vote on no confidence is table by opposition party, and the whole of parliament votes. Conservatives wouldn’t self harmWhy won't we get a vote of no confidence? Not been condescending, genuinely don't know why.

All set up for Johnson to ride to the rescue... would they dare?
It's also not as if that question wasn't foreseeable either. She shouldn't need strategists or advisors to prepare her for that one, if she was half competent she'd have known it was coming herself. That was such an easy question for Truss to answer though.
"I've been working hard with cabinet colleagues, trusted experts and business leaders to find ways to tackle the impact on global markets from the energy crisis and the war in Ukraine, making Britain stronger than ever and building an economy that helps us all. The British people don't want their PM to be parading themselves in front of the TV cameras everyday spouting soundbites; they want me working hard for them, and that's what I'm doing".
She had an open goal, and she turned around and lobbed her own keeper instead. That just shows how out of her depth she is.
