How could any of us know that without seeing the day to day stuff? Its Blindingly obvious to me that he’s got an attitude problem.

For a 21 year old thats about expected, he was hardly going to shine under a Warnock or Woodgate. First good manager he played under has earned him a move to a champions league side. Doesnt that say everything?Done it consistently, he's had 1 good season in his life.

earned him a move to a champions league side.
He's not moved to one yet, not played for one, not in the champions league/ latter stages when it matters, and they possibly won't end up in it next year.earned him a move to a champions league side. Doesnt that say everything?
Standard with any transfer involving Spurs. My worry is despite Spurs showing interest they are yet to bid for him. And all the other clubs - where have they disappeared to!? It seems this transfer will be a while In maturing
How many stood out in the Woodgate and Warnock sides, very few. Think thats more on the managers than the players. It says at least that he's not performed under two managers, and only performed under one perhaps.
It says he's potentially got a problem working with certain styles of managers perhaps.
It says he seemingly can't be "expected to perform" under certain managerial styles perhaps.
You also forgot to mention him being released by Fulham, supposedly because of his work ethic / attitude, so there's another manager he's not performed under.
He is about to though, yes its a bit of a gamble but most transfers are. Signing a 21 year old English RB who was one of the best players in the championship last season for less than 15/20 million is a fantastic deal for any side, think most would see that if they didnt let their irrational dislike of Spence get in the wayHe's not moved to one yet, not played for one, not in the champions league/ latter stages when it matters, and they possibly won't end up in it next year.
He's got a long way to go to prove himself as good enough in the Premiership, never mind champions league.
I think anyone who buys him knows they're taking a bit of a gamble, but I suppose 15-20m to a CL qualifying team is small change, and they'd likely get half of it back no matter what happened.
At that level, most teams in England have 15-20m players sat on the bench.
They know were desperate to get rid, Spurs can happily sit until transfer deadline day. If we do that our main targets are likely gone and the majority of our signings wont have a pre season. Its a standard Spurs trick and hopefully more clubs come in to avoid that happening but we are stuck until he goesBuying club come back with a reduced offer, knowing the club are hoping to buy 3, 4 players with the Spence money
Contact Spenes agent to tell Spence to kick up a bit of a fuss to "hopefully/fingers crossed" force Boro's hand to taken the reduced offer & get rid of bad rubbish
Enter Gibbo whose seen it all all before & wil drag Spence back screaming & shouting into CW's 1at team
Gibbo wont fall for their gamesmanship
UTMB
We're not that desperate, he's still got 2 years on his contract and seemingly loads of others interested, they don't seem to hold many of the cards, as we and the other clubs do, especially combined. They know were desperate to get rid, Spurs can happily sit until transfer deadline day. Doesn't he have a bit of a gangsta london entourage? Yeah, what could possibly go wrong.Daft young lad,bit of an ego problem, now going to have too much money what can possibly go wrong plus going back to living in London might provide distractions. Can’t imagine Conte would tolerate anything less than 100 per cent professionalism so if what we are led to believe is true he may be in for a bit of a shock.
It's sys when the chips are down and the going gets tough, he isn't up to it. A lack of mental strength. It says at least that he's not performed under two managers, and only performed under one perhaps.
