If it goes ahead we have a brilliant deal agreed for a player with less than 12 months left on his contract 12 mil great stuff.Good luck chuba.

I don’t see it as good - as it stands we are miles away from the squad that finished last season in fourth position, and do you really think Carrick will get all of that money to strengthen the squad. Not a chance. We’ll be shopping in the bargain bucket aisle by the looks of it - hopefully we can pull off some good loans again, but that just means you end up in the shoite the following season if you don’t go up, as we’re seeing now.

We heard all this when Tav went too.

We’ve made over 10m profit on a player that we would have given away 12 months ago and could walk away for free in another 12 months.

The ideal was he signed an extension for a similar wage, but the second best out come is get him out quickly for a fee that could fund 2 or 3 more signings with 3 weeks to spend the money

So any hints on who this might be - I've been out of the loop the last few days.

PS It's not Stewart I assume? Hamer?

If he wanted to leave then it's good business, no point having a player that doesn't want to commit, running his contract down and getting nothing for him.

We are where we are, like most, waiting for the scraps of the Premier League. Spending big this season is a huge risk with Leicester, Leeds and Southampton in it.

Good luck to the lad, played his heart out last season and ultimately fell short with us, I have no issue with him leaving tbh it's a tough one as I do believe he loves it here but money talks unfortunately, if the so called 15 million Euros is what we get for him I'm sure it will go towards a couple of decent players. Will be missed by all by all accounts a decent lad.
