well i was singing like fook in the east stand do the people who moan about atmosphere actually join in it was electric at times loved it utfb
Yeah seems to be modern phenomenon, sky sports etc. Personally I would have traded playing every game next season behind closed doors for a win at Wembley.Maybe its because I am feeling so bloody miserable but I just dont get this fan obsession around atmospheres, how many fans different teams have, what songs people sing, etc.
For those who do care, we met some coventry fans on the way back down south last night who volunteered that they though the atmosphere at the Riverside was incredible. Trouble is we lost which is all that matters.
I think it's because going to watch a football team is a tribal pack mentality thing, a huge part of the thrill is belonging to this group consciousness. Which the atmosphere of course affects.Maybe its because I am feeling so bloody miserable but I just dont get this fan obsession around atmospheres, how many fans different teams have, what songs people sing, etc.

Nothing wrong the atmosphere
Yes, fair point and I do appreciate that the tribal aspect is a huge part of following a football team. I just sometimes get the impression that for some people the off field stuff is at least as important as what is happening on the pitch which I find completely baffling.I think it's because going to watch a football team is a tribal pack mentality thing, a huge part of the thrill is belonging to this group consciousness. The atmosphere was building massively and organically well before kickoff.
Then the build up music came on very loud and completely killed it .
Well done to who ever orchestrates that.
You are clueless.
But it was stopped dead for 10 minutes and had to start up again after kickoff.Don't think that's true though.
The atmosphere carried on brilliantly in to the match.
It was only when it was obvious that the team were struggling to break them down that it started to die off a bit, and that was about 20 minutes in.
