I've never met one woman 'who was born as a woman' or however you want to put it who gave a crap about 'single sex spaces' being 'invaded' by trans women. I even had that conversation with my seventy five year old Mam and she agreed with me. Most of my friends are women and they're all pro trans rights. Maybe it's just the circles I move in. You wouldn't have got very far in my line of work if you had a problem with gay people or trans people. I have a pretty simplistic philosophy. I don't give a sh*t who you sleep with, what colour your skin is, what you identify as or what religion you follow. If you're alright with me then I'll be alright with you. If you f*ck with me and behave like an @rsehole I'll give it to you with both barrels. It's always worked for me.

I am by and large the same with one difference. Racism for example fascinates me. The reasons for it, how it reveals itself and how its different across different cultures.

I can see beyond a single issue with people, depending on how that single issue is expressed.

I work with vulnerable adults and children. A aspect of my work is working with people who have been sexually abused, the majority, yes the majority of our female service users have been sexually abused. In my workplaces we have safeguarding measures in place for very sound reasons.

99% of sexual abuse is committed by males. A response created by society are sex based rights. Single sex spaces are part of those rights.

A question for yourself is if no trans women at all commit sexual crimes, and a percentile of trans women do not present a risk to women why are there trans women in women's prisons who committed sex crimes? Crimes that include rape, rape which can only be committed by a person with a penis. Sexual crime is a male offending pattern. Trans women in prisons display a male offending pattern.

Do you think society should abandon single sex spaces? Do you think individuals with penises should be allowed in female only spaces? Do you think we should abandon normal procedures for carers who provide intimate care for females, because individuals say they are trans women? Do you think there should be a legal difference between those who possess gender recognition certification v those who identify as trans women?

Easy stuff to not answer there.

Of course it answers the question. I don't know how unambiguous I can be given I answered with the word "yes". Honetly what is wrong with you? I know homophobes and racists and other prejudiced people try to prove themselves "right" with a loaded question that they think tricks people. But I'm happy to go on record and say "yes Trans women should be able to use the same same sex places as other women" I don't know how I can be clearer. Sorry if this confuses your homophobic, backwards brain.

You amble a good point. I'm not sure how asking the same question repeatedly is being clever when I've given him the exact same, unambiguous answer three times!

But you are absolutely right, he's not worth engaging with anymore. I just, I just get shocked when I hear such outdated and prejudiced views. I honestly thought we had moved on as a country and get better. I guess we've left some behind.

I am asking the same question/questions because you do not answer them. You used trans women are women as an answer to a question. It appears that you believe that a woman is anybody that identifies as a woman?

I could identify as female, and as you assert trans women are women, and there using your argument I then should be allowed to access single sex (female) spaces.

At no point have you defined what a trans women is by law, biology or how people change sex to become women, only trans women are women.
