Gueye refused to wear Rainbow shirt

I am reading what you're writing.

You're saying he might be justified in his choice to oppose wearing a symbol of equality because of his cultural upbringing or religion.
I'm saying that it doesn't make it justifiable.
That's part of what I said. What would be the ramifications to him and his family personally? We don't know. What are his personal beliefs? Again we don't know.

We do not know if he is opposed to wearing said symbols in general; all we know is that he doesn't want to wear them personally.

Idrissa Gueye earns £99,000 per week, £5,148,000 per year playing for Paris Saint-Germain a country that that does not have the same anti-gay laws as Senegal - if his personal beliefs were that strong and he believed and supported those laws.. surely he wouldn't choose to ply his trade in a country that does not. The same stance was not taken when it comes to gambling firms or alcohol companies.. so his beliefs are specifically centred around not supporting the the freedom or rights of people.

We can only be judged by our actions and his actions are to oppose the freedom and rights of people.. and Kei Kamara fully supports that.

I did answer your questions. Apologies if you didn't understand the answer. What can I clarify for you?

Given I've corrected you when you said I put trans rights above others, and you've ignored that already, it may be a long and painful conversation but I'm happy to help educate you.

Which questions do you feel I haven't answered?
Do you believe trans women should be allowed in single sex(female) spaces?

Newy I am not sure if you understand what I am saying.

His personal views maybe very different from the culture from which he comes, but he has to abide by those rules because he has family living in senegal and he wants to visit that family from time to time.

As for the nonsense about him working and living in France, it has no bearing and his salary has absolutely nothing to do with it.

Judge him by his actions? Really? I don't wear a poppy, ever, what does that say about me? Shall I tell you what it says about me? It says I don't like hundreds of millions of little bits of plastic being thrown in landfill.

He also missed a match last year on a day dedicated to raising awareness against discrimination.
"This absence (against Montpellier)... is very widely interpreted as a refusal to participate," wrote the FFF's ethics board.
"One of two things, either the hypotheses are unfounded and we invite you to immediately express yourself in order to silence these rumours," the letter continued.
"Or the rumours are true. In this case we ask you to be aware of the impact of your actions and the very serious error committed."

"In refusing to take part in this collective initiative you are validating discriminatory behaviour... and not only against the LGBTQI+ community," it added.

And I believe he did not reply, as far as I am aware. I am not excusing discrimination, I am simply saying that we do not know, nor understand his motives.

It's easy belonging to a country that is far more tolerant than others.

That was not answer to the question. The word women is biological. Women have protections defined by biology in UK law.

Do you believe that a person with a penis should be using the single sex spaces of females?

Yes I am. Sport is defined by sex.
Are you Graham Linehan? Because you certainly sound like him. And he's a lunatic.

What is it you take exception to? The law? Biology?

Why is Graham Linehan a lunatic? What has he done? I know who he is but not familiar with whatever it is you are referring to.

I take exception to idiots and transphobes. And I don't believe for a second that you don't know that Graham Linehan has been waging a horrible one man crusade against trans people on the internet for the last few years. But you're not worth arguing with. I've got better things to do.

To be fair bumface I had to look him up.

I'm sorry that I caused you do that Laughing. He's a despicable piece of crap and even being exposed to his horrible views might have damaged you in some way. I'd stay away from J.K Rowling too for exactly the same reason. They're both complete f***wits.
I will be scrubbing my eyes for some time.

At the risk of opening a can of worms there are a lot of individuals who (correctly) desire equality and (rightly) won’t tolerate discrimination except (wrongly) when they don’t believe in the cause/right of other groups of people seeking the same. It is a minefield.

The issue to me is that he should have been brave enough to state why he didn’t want to wear the shirt, which would then allow a debate to happen. Instead it’s been brushed under the carpet (by whom we don’t know).

I’d also mention that religion (imo) is an option. Sexuality and race are not - therefore the debates are different. You can opt in or out of religious beliefs, you cannot opt out of race or sexuality so different lenses need to be applied.

Not trying to be contentious or label anyone.

In some elements of Islam , it isn’t really an option .

If they are more of the fundamentalist type in their faith , apostasy carries the death penalty

Your not arguing with me, we are not exchanging views, I know who Graham Linehan is, I do not know what he has said.

I am familiar with some of rawling's ramblings and she surprised me. I heard an interview with her about 15 years ago and she was talking about parenting and seemed very sensible.... Then...... Who knows.
