How good was that

I understand wanting to see the positives but how anyone can say we won that game at a canter, that we were much improved and that it all happened against a much better Brum side is delusional!
Ok name me one save steffen made from a blue shirt ???

Free kick top corner. Great save. Save from the duffed back pass from Dijksteel. Off the top of my head. Not to mention two brilliant blocks second half from a couple of our defenders.

How many did their keeper make?

The performance wasn’t amazing but at this point of the season with what’s gone on, the result is what mattered.

There are still players who are clearly low on confidence, Dijksteel, McNair, to name just two. But what do you expect with Wilder throwing players under the bus constantly and dropping players randomly.

Atmosphere was slightly flat but it didn’t help that the game wasn’t great to watch.

I said blue shirt

So none then from open play in 90 mins

Free kicks don’t count it’s a free hit.
So free kicks don’t count. The underhit back pass doesn’t count. And that means no saves in open play were made 😂

You’re crackers.

Goals that go in don’t count as saves. So how many saves did their keeper make mate?

Eh? So because Leo was in charge I shouldn’t be allowed to call a spade a spade?

Delighted we won, delighted for Leo but to say that was anything better than what went before isn’t something I can agree with.
No, you can call a spade,or anything else including calling me whatever you want. But I’m calling that a win with Leo as manager in the first game in charge and post the Wilder period is a bit more than the usual drivel. You only seem so delighted after I called this. Unless of course I missed posts of more enthusiasm elsewhere.

Some crystal ball there mate!

I just think that people are so desperate for it to have been better they’re seeing things that weren’t there.

We did ok first half in patches and we were poor second half. Didn’t create many chances but got the result.

That’s about it.
No Crystal Ball.. just eyes.

I wasn't going to talk about the negative stuff because when we lose you get laughed off the board if you try to bring anything positive up, so why should anyone try to be even handed if we win, but there was one thing about tonight that kinda highlighted the things Wilder talked about and aimed to overcome the lack of leaders in our team, the set pieces for Brum against us highllighted it several times they made us look amueterish by our players not responding to their movement at corners, free kicks etc. So whatever you think about CW he did highlight that and it is still a problem especially if his players are dropped.

His players like Clarke & Mowett?

I was thinking more of Lenihan which I'm pretty sure is one of his picks, the other two I don't know, but I'm not asking for Lenihan to be 1st choice, just noticing that today we had a problem at set pieces and that could be down to a lack of leaders telling others what needed to happen.

Some serious rose tinted glasses from people.

3 times better?
Won at a canter?

Let’s have a beat of realism eh?

Great point. I thought this myself when I was watching the game last night. There is nobody in that team who organises or gives a rocket to another player when they have their head up their ****. Djiksteel in that 1st half at times was a goal for them waiting to happen. Someone should have got hold of him and told him to stick to the basics.

This is probably why most if not all players likely stopped playing for Wilder as he was willing to call them out during the game, at half time and full time.

So that means no one’s allowed to analyse the game?
No not at all but last night was all about the result.

Leo is not our manager it’s not his job to build on a formation or long term strategy he was asked to take a side at home in the bottom 3 that had not won in weeks and had only won twice all season.

He did that snd he won.

No analysis needed keep that for what comes next just enjoy those three points.
