An incredible night.. Just wait for his Twitter & Facebook to be reinstated and he will no doubt comment how the MSM & tech giants silenced him at the very moment his power finally slipped away, claiming yet more conspiracy.

When will his followers realise they have been played like cards by a reality star who couldn't care less about anyone but himself. People died yesterday as a direct result of his actions and he won't have lost a seconds sleep over it. Lets hope he has his comeuppance one day (soon).
 
Don't be surprised if he's not impeached or removed in the next few days.
The GOP simply can't let him rule them from the sidelines and they have to rip the plaster off right now and show some belief in the constitution that they have sworn to protect.
Yes, it might make his MAGA thugs angry and violence will ensue, but their democracy is surely worth fighting for.

I fear this may happen.
Pence can then issue a Presidential pardon for all the half wit has done and, presto all sorted.

I know it's a small point given the many, many awful character traits of this horrible man but anyone who praises themselves about everything ("the end of the greatest first term in presidential history") is really a sad piece of work.
 
Trump would have to resign for that to happen, which he won't do and as much as I despise Pence I don't think he's going to stoop that low.
I'd imagine there were some serious conversations in the Senate as they sheltered during the breach and I'd hope that many of them revolved around recriminations for Trumps assault on democracy.
It should be easy for the Dems to get an impeachment case through and if the Senate voted for it then the prospect of Trump running in 2024 goes away and the GOP can start to free themselves from the tiger that they thought they could ride to power.
 
25th amendment - Is this what Trump really wants ? Can't help thinking this is a way for him to get a Pardon from acting president Pence.
 
White House correspondent reporting on a conversation with a GOP Senator who said he'd never seen Pence so angry. Not sure the Orange Monster can rely on that
