Served up as a sacrifical lamb, the rest of the country better not fall for that, keep probing and demand the whole truth.

There is not a cat in hells chance Johnson didn't know about the party. There is not a cat in hells chance that the police guarding the street and property didn't know about the party and there isn't a cat in hells chance that the comings and goings, past midnight weren't recorded.Im aware of the size but everyone in and out is logged in and out and screened so the point still stands.
You'd still like to think that as a responsible PM he'd have done all he could behind the scenes to ensure he wasn't being made a fool of by his aides etc with their denials of a party? As it stands, even if he genuinely had no knowledge of any party on the 18th Decemeber he has been left with egg on his face by not knowing what is going on at No. 10. Had he been on the ball he'd have disciplined / sacked those repsonsible and turned up to PMQs saying he'd investigated what happened and X, Y and Z have now been sacked and that he will not see No 10 being brought into disrepute. That would have been strong leadership but instead he just doesn't give a toss at best and at worst is perhaps even complicit in it.It's got 100 rooms. PMs office is on the 3rd floor. 10 Downing St is much more than his house.
No it doesn't. It is quite conceivable that there was a legitimate business gathering that the PM was not involved in which finished with wine and cheese.Im aware of the size but everyone in and out is logged in and out and screened so the point still stands.
Didn't know it is alleged that it went beyond midnight which puts a different angle on it.There is not a cat in hells chance Johnson didn't know about the party. There is not a cat in hells chance that the police guarding the street and property didn't know about the party and there isn't a cat in hells chance that the comings and goings, past midnight weren't recorded.
The police though can't do anything about it... Please!
Well quelle F***ing surprise. It's got 100 rooms. PMs office is on the 3rd floor. 10 Downing St is much more than his house.
Not making excuses for the PM just pointing out that no. 10 is not an ordinary house and to liken it as such is dumb. You'd still like to think that as a responsible PM he'd have done all he could behind the scenes to ensure he wasn't being made a fool of by his aides etc with their denials of a party? Stop making excuses for his appaling showing as PM.
lets be honest in all likelihood he was down there drinking, and groping some gullible internStop making excuses for his appaling showing as PM.
It isn't though and your comment is an example of what's wrong with this board.Well quelle F***ing surprise.
Millbrook's first contribution to the thread is a straight bat defence of Johnson
Why if this was so ”dumb” then did the pm official spokesperson use the Downing Street official Press suite to exercise deflecting questions about this party. Not making excuses for the PM just pointing out that no. 10 is not an ordinary house and to liken it as such is dumb.
I agree completely with your first two sentences.
You can't sack someone that quickly unless you have an admission/finding of gross misconduct nor can he have had it investigated properly in the timeframe (ex HR speaking). I hope the truth comes out through the investigation.
Couldn't care less what those people think, the majority on this thread have every right to be annoyed at this charlatan of a PM, you can't deflect from our anger. Take it on the chin, most of us ARE better than this government, are more honest, have more integrity. You had the choice to show you have more integrity than Johnson and his clingers on but chose to disprove it by dismissing peoples anger at them. At least you are consistent in your character though ayeCan you lot not read - let me make it clear - I didn’t have drinks and wouldn’t - I’m saying there were people on this board saying I’ll do what I like at Christmas and stuff everyone else. Those people - how can they be offended by the gvt when they are no better themselves?
Sorry but I can't follow the logic of that, would welcome further explanation. Why if this was so ”dumb” then did the pm official spokesperson use the Downing Street official Press suite to exercise deflecting questions about this party.
that alone shows it was widely known in the building inc the by the PM.
Now that really is dumb.
You can’t follow the logicSorry but I can't follow the logic of that, would welcome further explanation.
Apologies my confusion. I thought you were referring to more recent comments not the original video. You can’t follow the logic
so the official PM spokesperson who is his mouthpiece to the global media obviously was aware there was a possible issue to rehearse answering questions about it.
this shows it was known enough with no10 to be flagged as a concern.
“The video, obtained by ITV, showed the PM's then-press secretary days after Downing Street staff held a party, laughing about how to describe such an event.”
so it was an issue even last year.
If the party didn’t happen then why would Stratton feel the need to resign?
