Muniz may not be going to Fulham?

The whole thing is fishy.

It sure is... I find it weird that the details of the transfer seem to have been made totally public before the transfer has even been completed. These days most transfers seem to be undisclosed even after its complete!

Deep down I think I'm hoping the transfer falls through and he comes to us but a little bit of me hopes it falls through and we say 🖕you've had your chance and missed the train, we'll find a striker who wants to be here thanks very muchly.

Id be telling him and his agent to do one, if he scored a few goals and had a good start to the season they’d probably be pushing for a move to the Premier League in January and completely disrupt the team anyway.

Yeh thats true but I guess that's the type of transfer we're after though... Young players with potential, put em in the shop window and if they do well, sell for a tidy profit. But you would hope to get at least a season out of em!

But you're probably right with this one... If he scores a few early doors it does seem his agent or who ever partly owns him, will probably be pushing for a January exit to the prem

I'm sorry but not for me. The whole thing just seems to be driven by money and not really where the player wants to go.

I read that they want a 50% sell on clause. That's surely madness? I've never heard of such a clause.

Also 7mil is a small fortune for us. It's definitely putting the majority of eggs in one basket and if he does turnout to be a gem then we give away half of anything get for him. No thanks.

If Payero has a cracking season and we sell him for 20m + next summer that’s fine, so far Muniz has come across abit in the Ramirez mould. where I’d worry he might down tools if he doesn’t get his own way.

Muniz liked a post linking him to Fulham, That's it isn't it? its not like he was slagging us off in the press!

We're trying to move away from these type of deals, as mentioned, we tried to sign him & he chose elsewhere, thats his choice, we move on to other targets
The Payero signing was agreed in principle & concluded after the Olympics, which was sort of agreed, even though a few of us had doubts, me included, it went through pretty smoothly, no lets move away from this striker, it could be his agent hasn't, he's not done him any favours really

If they were willing to accept a smaller fee from us, they'll probably come to a compromise where they accept a reduction in Fulham's fee but still get more than we were going to pay.

Fair enough, Fulham can probably afford to pay him more and have a better chance of promotion than we do.

The irritating thing is it sounds like everything was pretty much agreed then his head was turned by the late bid. As others have said, wouldn't fill you with much confidence for future loyalty.

I though 3rd party ownership was banned. Was this not why West Ham got fined for the tevez deal

Any transfer with the South American countries are nothing like Europe. Tevez and Mascerano prove that.
I never believe them until they have played 10 games.

Third party ownership is rife. Chelsea loaning a player to Norwich, for example. Arguably, sell-on clauses have a third party element, as do 'release clauses' and 'add-ons'.
