Ah, now I know her, you are indeed correct I was spouting nonsense. If I am guilty of one thing I simply never know who ' celebrities' are.

Years ago I kept hearing the song 'let it go' I asked my nephew what was it about. He answered I was the only person who could ask that and not be on a wind up.

As for being a councillor I would not touch it with a very long barge pole. Friends of ours had their car burnt out.

Hard working decent people who wanted to help their community.

I agree, calling people scum won't win back the red wall. People who voted brexit weren't scum.

They were misled, fooled, ignorant, ill informed, lazy in their research, exhibited poor judgement, unwise, were compromised in their usual reasoning process etc etc. The best single word I can think of that applies to each of these synonyms is 'stupid', but the problem with that is while it is accurate, people don't like to confront the idea that they themselves have been stupid, even though we all are. Also, because there are all sorts of definitions of stupidity, when our opponent gives us a label, we tend to leap to a more negative one than they intend.

So you know nothing about celebrities, but based on the fact you didn't know who she was you immediately assumed 99.9% of people wouldn't know who she was either?

With that application of logic I can see why you voted for and still back brexit. Certainly fits the profile.

It seems to be everyone who can see brexit for what it really is. That's a large group of people

The hypocrisy of course is that same_as decided that he dislikes remainers and their stance based on them pigeonholing leavers, yet here he is pigeonholing 'celebrities' and that what they have to say as irrelevant. Despite this one being an intelligent, articulate and successful business woman.

That’s what Keir starmer should be drumming into everyone who will listen and list all the terrible consequences constantly because how else will people get educated in this country. Saying silent doesn’t work for this country

Agree with this. It's scary that it's destroying the country yet political parties feel they can't discuss it. Frightening
