Post on RTG

Are you sure? That's not how I remember him at all. Football & Music memories were his thing. His collection of Boro memorabilia was incredible.

In fact I've just looked at a big chunk of his posts before he left. In the few months before he left there was no trolling with only one mention of the fact that he voted Tory. And that was his very last post. Unless they have all been deleted.

It looks like people were having a go at anyone in general who voted Tory on that thread. Not erimus74 specifically but he took offence as it turned out he voted Tory.
A big loss to the board whoever he voted for.
I've edited my post as i can't be 100%. Anyway, all his history stuff was good and hope he is happy wherever he now posts all that stuff.

Never understand the need for Boro fans to post on other club message boards usually starting with ‘I come in peace’ type statements. I am not in the least bit bothered about Sunderland, Newcastle Leeds or any other club. I am and always will be only interested in the Boro. I think Boro favs look a bit sad and pathetic posting on other clubs boards and seem to spend their time justifying their participation in the forum. Leave fan forums to actual fans.
I like to read the forum of the team we’re playing to see what they’re saying about us and about they are playing. Wouldn’t bother posting on them though, but I also wouldn’t give any opposition fans grief if they did so on here.

I don't see why it's an issue. There are loads of neutral fans posting on RTG, there's even a Swindon fan who posts on there regularly.

I actually think it's a shame we don't get more neutrals posting on our board, it would be good for the banter and interesting to get a different perspective on things.

The only thing which does irritate me is when Boro fans post on RTG to argue that Boro vs Sunderland is a derby. It just plays into their hands, as they believe we're desperate to be hated by them.

That was my recollection. He took it as personally directed at him but it wasn't. I don't think he was hounded off, I think people were indifferent to him leaving or desperate for him to stay.

I think there's only been a handful of posters over the years who have been targeted because of their politics and that's nearly always been down to their confrontational posting style more than anything else. Smalltown being one, who is anything but right wing.

Cooper springs to mind too.

And the less said about the paedo Tory councillor the better.

Looks like Erimus74 is now posting over there.

I'm not so sure. He uses Erimus74 on OneBoro and 1974 obviously means a lot to him (football wise), so I don't think he would change it for RTG.
Could be right then. I wonder who 1876 is then. Obviously must have used a different username when he posted on fmttm.

"Do gooder" led to "PC" led to "wokism".

This terms are all interlinked ways of people on the right creating a fear of change in the less educated and easily manipulated in society. They are ad hominem attacks on the people doing good things, rather than the things they are doing.

This is all the right has right now, fear of change. Scaaaaarey.
The word was first used to describe the exposure and recognition of people like Harvey Weinstein, but has obviously since been hijacked by some sections of the media to mean something negative, which is a little sad really.

I've been going on RTG for over 25 yrs. Most of the posters on there are sound. Some great techies who have helped me out many times. Many ask for advice on parking and how to safely get around the Riverside when they are here (mostly by pms).
There's a couple that will never have a good thing to say about us or our area.
I love that they have a separate politics board and the Parsnip throws up some very interesting pics 😀.
All in all a cracking board even with Boro Hank on it.🤣

I reckon that hank definitely posts on here, especially with him being a Boro fan.

I suspect he will read this and be frothing at the mouth.

"Nee way do a support the mutants marra, can yee not tell am a Mackem by the way I write".

RTG is an excellent forum with largely good posters. It should be a role model around how to build and monetise a site (users can pay to remove ads monthly or annually, pay a bit more to be a contributor, and would be able to manage Rob's fmttm subscriptions via that as well.

The forums are well split up into difrent interest groups and the website has a good front end

This place is decent now but in the old forum this must have looked like cavemen running around next to people on a spaceship.
The old site was far better than this site with a much broader set of members and better craic.
