Prem Relegation Spots.....

Burnley’s defence which was previously their strong point looks poor this season, they concede so many goals and don’t have the firepower to outscore teams.

Watford I could see adding some players in January, not big names but more unproven players that could come good or not.

Norwich are dead and buried, they won’t sign the multiple players they need and the short manager bounce they had has completely gone. It’s hard to put in words how bad they are.

Newcastle I can see staying up, although players like Trippier and Ramsey I’ve seen linked aren’t the signings they need really.
Bring in some solid central defenders and some good central midfielders and they’ve got the players in other positions to do it.

I can't see any one of the bottom 4 staying up. Clearly one has to... Newcastle are the obvious one because of available funds. They are just so poor.

Watford have a game in hand and if, a big if, I know, they win it they will be 5 points clear of Newcastle who can't buy a win at the minute and have their 2 best players out.

Will anyone go to Newcastle? If they are sensible they will build for next season in the championship which is a much easier sell than trying to sell staying up. Also its less of a financial burden on Newcastle going down.

Norwich are gone.

Burnley just haven’t invested and I think their time could be up this season. I know they are only a point or two off safety but they need to find a way to start getting some results otherwise the end is nigh. Woods and the other strikers has stopped scoring and that’s a big problem. Don’t think they will ditch Dyche.

My bottom 3. Watford, Norwich, Newcastle.

They're is a certain amount of truth in the fact if you are, generally bottom half of the table, sooner or later it's your turn to go down.

More or less my thoughts. I still think Burnley will find a way to survive.

He is out of contract in summer i believe so Athletico will take cash rather than nothing . They will create a can of worms when they start paying stupid wages to new signings , not helpfull to survival hopefully. If he went therre its purely for ££££££££

they come down and I think they could find themselves struggling, average/poor players on big wages, Dyche might jump ship, playres used to playing prem not getting mentally up for the champo fight
Ideally Newcastle get a few of the big signings, but have to pay them mega wages (no relegation clauses). They still go down and then all of these players become disillusioned and stop playing to their potential. We will then see how much money Saudi Arabia is willing to throw away in sports washing - or they just give up and put them into administration - remember whoever takes them over has to clear all sporting debts before they get their league status back.

Sadly I think my alarm clock goes off about now and in reality they stay up and become one of the group of wealthy clubs that take the mick. This will continue until the rest of the world starts watching something else and overseas TV and advertising rights fall.

3 from 4 now.
Usually someone has a bad run to be firting with it so there might be one other in the mix.
Watford Newcastle and Norwich for me. Hopefully.

Whilst it would immensely amusing if the Mags were relegated, would you really want Newcastle in the Championship with us assuming we are not promoted? They'd be clear bookies favourites to claim a promotion place (if not everyone else's too) with SKY doing a constant 'love-in'. Even without their new riches they would have parachute payments and could scoop up talent that might otherwise go elsewhere in the Championship.

Watford's game in hand is against Burnley, and they can't both lose it.

They play Newcastle next too, which will be a huge decider.
If Newcastle lose then the balance swings back the other way.

But they don't play another league match until the 15th, loads of time to being in quality with the money they have available.

I still want Newcastle to get relegated because that's what they deserve. We'll be in the prem next season anyway.

Newcastle have a real credibility problem.
Really well put.

And that’s the problem when the fantasy of being the richest clerb in the world meets the reality of having won one game all season by January, when you’re trying to sign real top players with no experienced football people behind the scenes.

Trippier’s a brilliant player but Chelsea and United could both do with a right back and I have little doubt his agent is using the Toon to flush out interest and a deal from someone like that, he’s been linked with United for years.

They’re trying to run before they can walk because the team is so rank atm, and there’s no realistic way they’ll get players of the level of Dembele, in a million years. Money talks, but not that much. The contradiction is that whoever joins on mega bucks will be doing it for all the wrong reasons, which will actually make them worse - it’ll annoy the dressing room and mercenaries don’t care, hopeless in a relegation battle.

The very best they can hope for is someone like a Ross Barkley, who wants to restart their career, or some decent lesser name signings to tighten them up, but they’re so poor at the minute it might not be enough, and as always, delusional expectations will crucify them.

Shame innit.

I can see Newcastle going on a 5 game winning run are there about . The belief and psychology effect the new signings will have an effect in the current squad . But let’s face it there probably Gina spend a rediclous amount but will they be as good as Rav,Emerson festa and do you Juninho ?

Burnley and Newcastle have won one game each..... That's two between them all season (I can add up despite an E in maths😂).

It's January. That's woeful by anyones standards. It's a shame because without the money Newcastle would be down.
If Newcastle do go down it’ll be a totally different challenge for the new owners to bring in players to get them out of the championship and back in the premier league so identifying targets now might be premature for them because having 4-5 saint maxim type players will get you nowhere in the championship
Interesting times for our skunky neighbours 🤣

Watford, Burnley, Norwich. No doubt at all.
I get the feeling Newcastle could almost muddle through and sneak out of trouble as others are so awful. Watford must be due a new manager soon?

And you would think the purse strings at Burnley may be loosened to get them a bit of quality to get a few points.

Watford and Norwich currently look done for, Burnley could get out of it, Newcastle with a couple of signings and a confidence boost probably will get out of it.

If you were Trippier would you take a 2.5 year rotation deal at Chelsea or United, or a £150k a weeks 4.5 year deal off the daft Geordies? Last contract most likely, will it effect his England chances a great deal, he's not often first choice now anyway is he?

Just got to hope Watford beat Newcastle next week and Norwich the week after.

Lose them and they've got no chance of avoiding the drop.
