It's been British longer than it was ever Spanish now.

The Spanish FA are presumably going to be hit with a significant fine over this, irredentism is heavily frowned upon and rightly so.

Absolutely, its just that Spain are the last country to be complaining about it.

And yes I'd be happy for a sensible conclusion to the Northern Ireland conundrum. Labour have a reasonably good record on that.

Who is going to fine them and on what grounds?
 
I'd have thought that Rodrigo has picked his own tune for the new season at every ground he plays at.
Lyrics seem to be straightforward too.

Idiotic behaviour in the circumstances and to double down shows ultra stupidity.
He is a fine footballer, but will rightly get stick.

To raise Gib when they hold onto Cueta and Melilla is comical.

It has also got **** all to do with Northern Ireland.

UEFA and on the grounds that he's making irredentist claims against another UEFA member's territory.

Same reason Serbia were fined during the tournament for their fans displaying flags showing Kosovo as part of Serbia, and Albania for their fans displaying flags claiming the territory of neighbouring UEFA members too.

It'll probably be a bigger fine in this case because it's actually multiple Spanish players doing it at an official event, rather than fans.
