The end?

That's weird the link only appears momentarily for me before disappearing but manged to click on it quick and them twitter says I must add my age to my profile as I have be over 18 to view it but tbh think I will give it a miss sounds awful

It's intense.

Not gruesome and disgusting like some of the execution stuff, but awful that people are subjected to such hell. The leader of the troop ought to get a medal, but this might just be typical.

Astonishing bravery from the leader it has to be said. That said, my heart breaks for all on the battlefield whether Ukrianian or Russian and their loved ones. Pure hell for all and as said earlier, completely senseless.

Interesting article my friend in the Netherlands sent me
I have translated it into English.

New evidence of Russian sabotage on the seabed

Journalists from the Danish, Norwegian, Swedish and Finnish public broadcasters have found new indications in a joint research project that Russia is developing plans to sabotage Western gas pipelines, electricity and internet cables on the seabed.
The journalists followed the movements of Russian ships in the North Sea and Baltic Sea, spoke with experts and security services and made use of intercepted radio traffic. The result of their research can be seen in a documentary series that will be broadcast tonight.
The research confirms reports that Russia plans to sabotage crucial infrastructure of NATO countries at sea if it comes to war with the West.

Admiral Vladimirsky

In November , for example, a team from the Danish broadcaster DR tracked down a Russian ship in the strait between Denmark and Sweden that was probably busy mapping the infrastructure on the seabed there.
The Admiral Vladimirsky is a marine research vessel, but would also be used to collect intelligence on gas pipelines, wind farms and electricity and internet cables. It had turned off its AIS transponder so that its location and other data were not visible to others.
The Danes managed to find out the location by intercepting information that the ship sent to a Russian naval base. The broadcaster sent a journalist and cameraman to the Vladimirsky in a fast boat. When he arrived at the ship, masked men appeared on deck and a heavily armed soldier in a bulletproof vest.

A journalist from the Norwegian broadcaster NRK discovered a connection between the destruction of an internet cable between Spitsbergen and the Norwegian mainland due to the movements of a Russian fishing boat. They were strange. "The transponder signals show that the Melkart-5 passed over the cable more than 130 times. More than 130 times, there and back."
That cannot be a coincidence, said a Norwegian shipowner. "This is totally illogical for a fishing vessel. Even if there is an insane amount of fish. I'm not a fisherman, but this is not a normal activity."

NATO exercise

The Finnish broadcaster Yle writes that the Russian fishing vessel Taurus also attracted the attention of the journalists. It called at a Norwegian port 51 times in the past ten years, only 34 times with fish on board.
In the fall of 2018, it was spotted west of Norway where a major NATO exercise was just underway. In December last year it was on its way to the Barents Sea, almost a month before the start of the fishing season.
According to the broadcasters, over the past ten years, the movements of more than fifty Russian ships should be considered suspicious.

Paralyze society

"In the event of a conflict with the West, Russia knows where to strike to paralyze Danish society," the counterintelligence chief of the Danish intelligence agency PET told DR. According to the head of Norwegian intelligence, the Kremlin attaches great importance to the operation and it is being directed directly from Moscow.
The information that Russians collect is stored centrally, according to the DR. To be able to do this, a special software program called GUGI has been developed for Russian naval, fishing and merchant vessels.
That would mean that all Russian ships could be deployed for underwater warfare. According to an expert from the Norwegian Defense Academy, it is very easy for a non-naval vessel to jettison a sea mine at a designated location.
The Russian ambassador to Norway, in response to questions from the broadcasters, stated in writing that Russia complies with international law.

Frank Bekkers, Hague Center for Strategic Studies:

"In a sense, this is old news. But it concerns espionage of Russian ships in the North Sea and that is important. The intention is that in about ten years almost 70 percent of the electricity we use in the Netherlands will come from offshore wind farms The Russians are mapping out that entire infrastructure at sea and they may be doing that in order to carry out sabotage actions one day, which is why this news is so important.
It is not just a theoretical possibility, we already see all kinds of incidents happening and it is possible that these incidents are actually an exercise in tackling things on a larger scale. So see if it can go unseen and what the consequences are. It could just be that this is a harbinger of something bigger.
In fact, everyone was shaken up by the Nord Stream explosions anyway, if they weren't already. Everyone sees that this is a real threat. The problem is: what exactly do you do about it? The Dutch part of the North Sea is almost 1.5 times the size of the land area of the Netherlands. That is a huge area. How do you monitor that? Many countries struggle with this problem. They see the urgency of the threat, but there is not yet an easy solution for it."
The message on the Danish broadcaster's site also refers to a press conference of the Dutch intelligence services AIVD and MIVD. They announced in February that a Russian ship tried to collect information about wind farms in the North Sea last year.
MIVD director Swillens then said that the Russians also want to map internet cables and gas pipelines. According to the services, there were "preparatory acts for disruption and sabotage". In this case, too, it was Admiral Vladimirsky, a source told the DR.
On the broadcaster's site, no connection is made with the attacks on gas pipelines Nord Stream 1 and 2 in the Baltic Sea last year. Who was behind it is still unknown .

Footage of the explosion. Looks like a car was caught in the blast.

Personally I'm not sure that it was a bomb from a plane which did this, I watched it several times, if something had fell to the ground. I would of thought the which vehicle would of swerved to avoid it, but it carried on as normal and passed over where the explosion was. There is some chat about an underground gas pipe exploding, too.

Must admit it looked to me like it came from underground, but I don't know enough about these missiles. I know some tank rounds are designed to penetrate armour before going off. It was the

'Russian Defense Ministry commented on the explosion in #Belgorod "In the evening of April 20, while performing a flight of a Su-34 aircraft of the Air Force over the city of Belgorod, there was an accidental fall of an aircraft munition," the ministry said in a statement.…'

that made me assume this was indeed a missile strike.

It also looks to me like an underground gas explosion. Possibly sabotage and the powers that be in Russia decide it is better to blame a military accident than an actual attack inside the country.

You wouldn't get time to swerve a bomb, you wouldn't even see it in the daytime never mind at night, it was probably 250-500kg, no bigger than 1m long, moving at 1000mph.
They don't even get picked up on cameras easily and when they do, they look like a blur, and most CCTV is probably less than 100 frames per second in black and white and even less if colour, not easy to see.

It didn't look to detonate based on altitude, impact or proximity though, which most bombs are, and what people usually see in videos etc, so probably a delayed charge, or something similar to a bunker buster etc.

I don't think gas explosions do that from underground either, as gas is not flammable unless mixed with oxygen, and it also needs a method of ignition. The fireball wasn't big and it didn't keep on burning either like gas usually does, or blow itself out and just look like a big air vent.

Looking at this video I think you are correct.

Some tidbits.

"Offensive news
Much is happening, so I will meander around the map clockwise.
In general I can just say that Ukraine is going big, and going heavy.

Bakhmut
Ukraine has brought in more armoured vehicles.
But, foremost they have brought in new western artillery in large amounts.
At least 4 himars and about 50 western 155mm pieces with loads of counter artillery radars.
This has made the Russians rather grumpy, and they are complaining about being out-artilleried bigtime.
This has led to Ukraine mulching Russian positions inside the city, so much so that on the Northern part of the city front the Russians had to pull out.
But on the southern part inside the city the Russians still managed to push forward a bit.
With clear artillery advantage it is though a matter of time before Russia will have to start to fall back.
Russia is throwing in everything and the cat to reinforce in Bakhmut, troops that are desperately needed elsewhere.
Bakhmut is hurting all other Russian defences now to take Bakhmut.

Avdiivka
It is hard to get news from there, all we know is that the Ukrainians are pushing forward slowly in heavy firefights against the Russian fortifications on the southern pincer towards the International Airport.
This is not a part of the offensive as such from Ukraine, it is just local commanders taking advantage of all the Russian troops that was moved out to Bakhmut.

Vuhledar
Ukrainians are merrily bombarding everything Russian and pushing towards the two towns south of Vuhledar.
The Russians have been pushed back somewhat, but there has not been any breakthrough yet.
If Ukraine manages to break through there is not that much in their way until they reach the Surovikin line north of Mariupol.

Zhaporizhzhia
Here Ukraine is attacking massively with around 80 000 men.
It took one blow and Russia crumbled on a huge part of the front, all the way from the dam lake over to Polohyi the front is crunched up.
Russia tried to evacuate civilians from there, but that got into the way of the legging Russian soldiers.
It is basically chaos there, Russians tried to get their gear with them, but they got stuck in traffic.

The Russians are probably trying to fall back to the first of two Surovikin lines that are defending Melitopol.
This one is right before Tokmak, and the line follows the old frontline about 25km behind the old lines.
Surovikin had planned to have that line fully stocked with reserve forces, but they have been siphoned off to Bakhmut.
I do not expect this line to hold for long as and when the Ukrainians make direct contact.
Obviously the Ukrainians will have to regroup here, rebombard, and then breach.
Problem for the Russians is that standard 155mm artillery will pretty much be able to hit the next line right infront of Melitopol now.

I talked to Slav1nska, she was rather miffed that the Russians did not stay put so she could kill them, but adapted and started chasing them in her usual merry way.
She was also rather surprised over how fast they gave up, they started running in the first few minutes of fighting, and some units even ran away before.
She thinks that they are so demoralised by now that they could not fight any longer.

Kherson, Nova Kakhovka
Russian sources state that Ukraine has crossed Dnipro downriver of Nova Kakhovka and that they have established a base there and are ferrying over equipment under heavy Ukrainian artillery making it impossible for the Russians to drive them off.
There has also been a video posted from inside of Nova Kakhovka by a local resident where you can clearly hear street fighting and heavy artillery hitting Russian positions inside of the town.
Ukraine is here using the islands as cover for supplying their force and to bring in a stream of reinforcements, and even heavy equipment.
Girkin was most depressed about this and lamented on Putin and buttplugs for the second day running, more on the buttplugs later.

Kherson, Antonivka
Downriver of the collapsed Antonivka Bridge the Ukrainians have established a second landing zone, this is surprising since the river is wide here, and there is no island cover.
Regardless the Ukrainians are there and have moved a surprising amount of troops and heavy gear during last night using ferries and whatnots.
The local Russian commander is none to happy about things, especially the amount of artillery that the Ukrainians are using to hold him away from trying to drive them away.
His superiors are equally unimpressed with his performance.

Kherson, Kinburn Spit
Here the Ukrainians have used that mystery fleet overnight and brought in a lot of reinforcements and armoured fast wheeled vehicles.
The artillery has mulched the Russian position for about a week, and there are small signs of Ukraine having broken through those lines.

What is surprising me is how suicidal the Russians are in regards of continuing the attacks in Bakhmut instead of just trying to hold there.
Even if Russia would win there (not likely), it would be the most pyrrhic victory of all time since Bakhmut would by then be turned into a Russian Exclave surrounded by liberated areas in Ukraine.
What makes it even more hilarious is that Russia is still moving units out of Kherson, Zhaporizhzhia and southern Donetsk to push home the offensive in Bakhmut.

Surovikins battleplan was not bad, it would not have given Russia a victory, but it would have prolonged the war with at least half a year and made taking Crimea much harder.

I do not think Ukraine is going to take Crimea during this offensive, I think their main objective is to clear out Kherson and Zhaporizhzhia, and then cut the Kersh Bridge, and after that simply dewater and delogistic Crimea.
In other words, starve them out while bombarding them.
I think Crimea will either be the autumn offensive, or the next spring offensive (if Russia remains by then).

Moscow, FSB
A purge is ongoing in Moscow with FSB mass arresting Rosgvardia commanders and troops.
Rosgvardia was Putins own army and guards, so going after them is quite telling about the shift in politics in Moscow.

Basically the FSB is not trusting them to not sign up with either Prigozhin or Kadyrov.
It is here good to remember that Kadyrov is a general in Rosgvardia, whereas Prigozhin has no military rank at all...
Clearly FSB is securing the ground and is clearing the way for someone, or something.
Who and what is interesting.

Here I lean towards the words of Strelkov.
Firstly, he was about to get arrested by ordinary police, but FSB squashed that prosecutor like a bug, and told Strelkov to play nice.
Strelkov succeeded with following the script for about 4 minutes, during which time he talked about the traitors around Putin and the evil Oligarchs, and then he went off on a tangent and talked about Putin and buttplugs heavily implying that Putin needed to have one inserted.
In that rant he for the first time even swore, something he rarely if ever do.

It does not take a lot of imagination to think that he was talking about purging the circle around Putin.
Also, note that every single Strelkov video is filmed in a Monastery... FSB controls the churches, so him hiding in them makes sense, and gives him the opportunity to portray to the Russian people that he has gods own support...
He is so clearly going for the 2024 election."
