The end?

I wonder whether this is one of his doubles, an earlier recording rolled out as current news, or the man himself... (without his goat in tow)

Certainly either a double or old footage. Remember the opening of the sports hall decked out in blue and yellow. That was old news paraded as new. Real Putin hasn't been since since the last security council meeting he chaired a few weeks ago when he was seriously ill.

In other news, Tank girl is busy creating merry hell behind russian lines in south west kherson with her mechanised brigade. She has been given free reign to go marauding with hack and slash type attacks. As usual she is doing so with some relish.

I hope she stays safe. I've grown very attached. With tanks, it's usually the first shot that gets you, from someone you didn't see.

And, overnight.

"The ether is filled with Russian commanders squeeling like pigs on open coms in Tokmak.
Everyone and Surovikins cat (including me) had discarded the idea of Ukraine going from Orkhiv down to Melitopol via Tokmak.

Well, the Ukrainians did not discard it, nor did they forget that they had a mechanized Army Corps there.
So, with basically every single himars and precission artillery piece whanging away at Kherson, they just jumped into their tanks and other heavy vehicles and rode right over the hapless and half asleep Russians as darkness fell without even bothering with some therapeutic shelling.

And onwards they went. Within two hours they slammed into Tokmak with four divisions, in the dark.
Last time anyone did a punchthrough and move on was Rommel in France, but that was daytime.
That is 35+km in 2 hours in the dark with a blooming Army Corps.
Ukraine must have used every single road and passable field to do that.
It is mostly steppes there, and the ground is probably frozen, but still... blimey.

Note, the Russian artilley was between the Russian lines and Tokmak, what little artillery there is in Melitopol will not make much of a difference. I bet most of the Russian artillery that was overrun is busily learning to speak Ukrainian by now.
Ukraine blooming did it."

Looks like it was published on 19th.

Well it says situation as of the 19th. If it was published then, it's strange because the Ukrainians have been very good at keeping plans secret so far, so if plans were known and published in advance, that's quite a concern. Fortunately, it would seem that the Russian forces were completely unaware of the plans (as were pretty much everyone else).

They continue to astonish me.
Yes they get well supplied.
But still they die and still they fight and still they win.
Nobody gave them a chance and look where they are.
Remarkable heroics.

Oh and BTW they've fallen off the news radar which is disgraceful. This morning Radio 4 big article about the possible sale of MU including interviews. Who gives a fk.

All of their London listeners probably….

Video of the same meeting.

Doesn’t look his best but doesn’t look like he is at death’s door either.

I dunno. Radioactive poison is not my specialist subject. What is striking is the rapid change from cocky, muscular peacock to this. He may survive months but, apparently, incoherence and sickness (vomiting) are just a couple of the symptoms. And, I can't remember how much I made public on here about this, but Russian leadership sources confirmed (very privately) that he has been got at with radioactive isotopes.

Still not 100% convinced it's him.
