Tory MP suspended

Well it looks like they have found a way round it the leadsome amendment on the Patterson case has been published. tory whips have told MP's to vote to block the suspension.

Imagine if the ring of protection from covid they were going to put over the care homes to protect them was as strong as the ring of protection from the punishment for corruption they are putting round one of their colleagues.

& they tell you we live in a democracy Ever get the feeling you've been cheated

So, a Selection Committee will be formed…With a built in Tory majority. The Scots Nats won’t put forward any of their MP’s to serve on it.
Down to Labour and the rest to refuse too.

In 1853 a man called George Turner was sent to Australia for 10 years and whipped. For stealing two bushels of turnips. He was 12 years old.

Wind forward to 2021 300 MPs can steal millions off the tax payer and the behaviour seems to not bother the najority of people in this country. Its seen as "democracy in action".

There's no limit to how low the current tory party will stoop.
I wonder if the teesside tories voted for this?

This government is a disgrace. Complete moral and ethical vacuum, taking the electorate for idiots and tax payers to the cleaners.

Those that voted Conservative should be looking at themselves with shame. You were warned.

Another nail in the coffin of democracy. There is literally no legitimate reason to pass this other than to corruptly save the skin of one of their own corrupt MPs. This Tory government aren't just mired in sleaze they're taking it to astronomical new heights.

Purely done to deflect from the rife corruption at the heart of this government in handing out billions to their mates for duff PPE and other services with no competition or due diligence.

I wonder how low we can fall? Every week we here tales of corruption and law breaking that each seem more brazen and less moral than the last. It's disgusting

I have a feeling we are only just starting to discover how far we still have to fall before someone is held accountable.

My guess is that we aren't even scratching the surface of malfeasance and corruption.

Jacob Young abstained - he was in Dover (checks constituency boundary) to check on all the “illegal immigrants invading the country”

They are changing the rules so that when the PPE and Covid enquiries go ahead things will be weighted in their favour.

I despise them.

Edit - Paterson was allowed to vote for the amendment. He voted for, surprisingly. Like being on your own jury.
